Season is already half gone over here... I used a ceracoated stainless 7mm Wby in a Mcmillan stock loaded with Barnes TTSX on Fallow and Reds with great success and if I get a chance at Chital or Rusa later this year it will be my 300Wby U/L also with the Barnes TTSX. Finally in November if I am not in the far north of Oz after pigs and buff I will go south after Sambar Deer and that will be with my 35/284... probably loaded with Hornady SP's.

I just got a new Winchester Model 70 Safari Express in .375H&H, for deer hunting this year it's going to wear a Zeiss Conquest 3-9X40 with #4 reticle. I may replace the scope with a Docter Optics 1.5-6X42 as it would be a better all around scope for this rifle. I normally use a Husqvarna 1640 in 6.5x55, but the new .375 is such a nice rifle that I will use it instead for most of my hunting this year. It's not the caliber of the rifle that matters - It's the caliber of the man behind it.

6.8 SPC in an AR-15, Barnes 95 grain TTSX at 2700 fps. It blows through coastal Texas whitetails and feral hogs with ease, accurate, deadly, light recoil, sweet shooter. When catapults are outlawed, only outlaws will have catapults!

Oh, nice choice! Now I know this sounds silly but I'm hunting mule deer in Wyoming with a .375 H&H. That's because it's a combination mule deer/bison hunt and I don't own a 30/06. I could use the .318 WR but I don't want to scope it and mule deer ranges can be a tad long. Sarge Holland's .375: One Planet, One Rifle . . . for one hundred years!
