Ok but tell that to a 300 WM owner. 2-300 yds is out there for a low powered scope.
Unless other Detachable mounts were used on the reciever.

I want one, but I'm with .366torque, I'd want tradional scope mounts and scope.

Wonder is it's drilled to accept standard bases too?

Call me old fashioned, but I like the older style BLR. Scalloped receiver, boxy magazine.

I had one in 358 Win (Japan made, not Belgium). Wish I had it. My friend has a Belgian made BLR in 308 win. Whenever I see it, I am reminded to kick myself when I go home for selling my 358.

I think the reason I sold my BLR was that the drop at comb was too much for a low mounted scope, and that I couldn't easily clean the barrel from the breach. It least that's how I remember justifying selling it today.

I didn't like the recent run of BLR lightning models-just too many curves and distractions to the lines of the rifle.

Like I said, call me old fashioned, and a stick in the mud. I can take it.

My mid bore needs are satiatied with my 35 Rem Marlin 336, CZ 550 9.3x62, and Marlin 1895 45-70, and Savage 99EG 300 Savage. I honestly don't miss my BLR that much, but I do prefer the classic lines of the older version's receiver.

I am not interested, however, it looks like the idea is to remove the "zeroed" scope with its specific barrel. I can't imagine how this could be very accurate, or repeatable, much less interchanging calibers/cartridges. I guess theoretically if you can match BC with velocity you could do it. Seems like a lot of trouble to me. I have a Steyr scout and the scope arrangement will surprise you at long distance. Its not much of a handicap. gduffey

meaning mounted on the reciever. The barrel mount makes the most sense IMHO.
