bwanamrmMike,
I have used them in my 9.3x62 on my hunt in Benin back in 2008. They are an excellent bullet for medium to large game. Killed the big stuff including Western Savannah Buff quite well. Great penetration and expansion similar to an Barnes X variation. On the smaller game, passed through like a solid and had no visible shock transfer. Heck, I shot a reedbuck several times while my PH kept telling me I was missing! A bit frustrating until I figured out what was happening. But like all Lapua products, excellent accuracy and consistent.
I also shot a few nilgai with that load and it always hammered the blue bulls.

Thanks for the info.
I have found some 8x57 loaded with naturalis by lapua.
Thinking of using it for whitetail.
Best 8x57 ammo I could find.
Mike
If it didn't open up on Reedbuck, I wouldn't use it on Whitetail.

SchauckisObviously, VERY popular in Finland - and in the other Nordic countries, too.
The older batches did have a reputation of not so consistent performance meaning esp. not opening up properly on smaller game.
The variant on the market not is the 3rd generation whose shape and consistency have been improved all the time. No hesitation for me on any game, anywhere.
In fact, the basis of the Naturalis is a product developed by an independent inventor whose patent Lapua bought. They have been developing the lead-free bullet for longer than e.g. Barnes.
I took my biggest moose, a 14 pointer @ 50 meters shooting a 7,62x53R. He went down as if hit by a bolt of lightning - literally.

Beretta682EI will try and locate some ammo in the us. The 8x57 I was trying to load up on did not work out. The ammo on clearance was for 8x57 rimmed.

RogersGunWorksI have used a 140-grain Naturalis in my 6.5x47mm Lapua and took a mature Georgia whitetail buck with one shot. Performance was typical for a heart/lung shot with any cartridge; the deer ran 30 yards and collapsed. The bullet is also accurate & I would not hesitate to use it again.

I am trying to locate (sold out everywhere) 6.5 creedmoor Berger loaded with 140 Naturalis for August 15;South Carolina opening day.

They are made of copper, so they will perform like any other copper made bullet.
They might not expand sometimes, probably due to the angle they hit.
Ours expand very well on impala an duikers.
Sometime they do not expand on larger game, part of the deal.
Looking at their website one sees a classic advertising bullshit!
Gradual expansion as the velocity increases.
Never happens in real life!

I used Lapua Naturalis ammunition in 9.3x62 for a ~1000 pound moose in Sweden. There’s photos of the three recovered bullets in the trip report. (Link below.)
