Same way fishing lures catch fisherman a TTSX will have virtually no benefit. Out of 100 animals I have not had one fail to open.

Yeah I got the e-mail yesterday from Barnes, it actually looks like a good product. I too have never had a Barnes "failure" as some claim but I think the plastic insert should insure no chance of a failure the way they wedge open the expansion chamber or channel of the bullet.
I'll wait until the availability becomes a non issue before I start trying them.
In my opinion the Barnes line of bullets really shine in the small calibers although I shoot them in my .375 H&H I've never had an opportunity to see how those work on game.
Good luck on your upcoming Africa trip Crusher!

will they be on the big bores too???
i like the idea and it gives the new e-tip no market share so good business move

with the shorter petals i wonder if they will be stronger and not lose the petals as much?

the only question i have is tip deformation in recoil.

copper alloy vs copper and preasure relieving bands

Being a polymer tip I seriously doubt the tip would deform from recoil... I too would be interested to know if the shorter petals will hold up better...
