Looks very similar to a Savage, alittle better looking stock. Maybe a good purchase for budget minded hunters: From Marlin's site:

That is pretty cheap. I hope they are a success. Their competition is pretty much all foreign made. Probably steal sales from parent company Remington's 798.

Several years ago Marlin introduced a bolt action witha M-70 safety, Remington style breach, and Browning type clip magazine.....While it should have been an instant success, it flopped faster than a politician promising to rise taxes!!! I hope this gun is better! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." The only thing I like about it that it's chambered in 25-06. I'll pass. Lou **************** NRA Life Benefactor Member

The finest bolt action rifle ever offered by Marlin was the model 455, built between 1957-1959 on FN Deluxe commercial Mauser actions with Sako adjustable triggers, stainless microgroove barrels, 30-06 & 308, some fitted with Lyman 48 receiver sights. Alas, not many were made. NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics.

6.5#, in 25-06, 2706 and 30-06? should displace the rem fugly 710, and might raise an eyebrow or two... and, unlike the 710, its headspaced off a barrel nut, which means it can be rebarreled.. still a pushfeed, but not bad looking opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
