boom stickwildcat idea...
not that the 480 ruger and 475 or 500 linebaugh or 500 s+w need any tinkering but what about necking the 475, 500 linebaugh, 500 s+w and 480 ruger to 458 bullets to take advantage of all the great cheap 45-70 bullets?

bigboredanBoom stick,
lee Matin necked the 500 Linebaugh down to 458. I believe SSK industries did the 500 S&W magnum. And I'm doing the 475 linebaugh and 480 ruger.

Lar45Lee has an article called the 450 Bone Crusher or something at his site.
http://www.singleactions.com/What about a 45-70 BFR and rechamber the cylinder for a 50-110 necked to 458 or the 450 Alaskan?
