other than a custom wildcat...why is the 450 bonecrusher not more popular? i think the bonecrusher with 300 gr nosler partitions would be AWESOME! http://www.reloadersnest.com/frontpage_handgun.asp?CaliberID=55 http://www.singleactions.com/450Bonecrusher.pdf 577 BME 3"500 KILL ALL 358 GREMLIN 404-375 *we band of 45-70ers* (Founder) Single Shot Shooters Society S.S.S.S. I'm thinking because most folks that go to the trouble of getting a custom built gun, and one that uses 500L brass, will opt for the 500. There really isn't any advantage of using .458" vs .451" bullets, and a 454 casull is alot easier way to go. I think after awhile, many of us loose the desire to have something different, and just one something practicle. The 454 in practicle terms achieves all one could one in an iron sighted 45 cal revolver, if more is wanted, then the 475 and 500 are the way to go. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

Pau H, do you know me? Seriously, you hit it right on the head! I couldn't wait to get that 500 S&W (BFR). Got the dies, brass and boxes of bullets and worked up some great loads. Guess what happens every time I get on that snowmachie, 4 wheeler or boat. Thats right, I grab that old Taurus 454 because that thing is almost a part of me, it's so comfortable and reliable. I'm going to carry that 500 someday, just don't know when. Greg
