Ugly...Kinda...This might be a neet idea if you have a twin in a bolt action...kinda like a howdah pistol. Put a swivel stud on the cap and carry in a sling. 416 rigby pistol anyone? Hmmmm...450 Nitro Express handgun...Hmmmm...

Kind of illegal,unless you can get Ruger to sell you the Action alone.

It's only illegal if the barrel is shorter than 16" and the over all length is less than 26". If either one of those things is shorter,than that the firearm is considered a sawed-off, and is illegal, and worth 10 yrs of your life, in the federal lock-up! In that case the recoil is the least of your concerns! Simply building the pistol with a short barrel on the Ruger No1 action does not negate the legalities, because the action is only available as a rifle action!.......WORD!
