I am getting a 10 inch 510 GNR for my Encore. Anyone have experance with this round?

Like Whitworth said, I have 3 of the 500 Mags. I have a S&W 4 inch, a BFR custom 6 inch and a Encore 8 inch custom OTT set up.

The 510 GNR is a true 510 caliber, and it can be loaded up to the 500 Linebaugh or loaded down to the 50 Special ballistics.

I just like different caliber's.

I thought about getting one of his barrels at one time but decided not to support his gun and porno site myself. The site may be different now I don't know as I don't frequent it anymore.
Of course it is up to an individual if they want to support him and his porno buddies and their trashy forum.

Frankly I don't judge others, it is his and there life's, and he is a grown man and can make decisions on his own. I was not asking for your approval either.

This would be a better place if people just kept there bullshit to themselves.

I've got a revolver in the 510 gnr. I like it. Loaded up to 500 linebaugh level it has a pretty good thump, but not nearly so much as a hotloaded 500smith. A few weeks back I shot a hog with it using the long loads and another guy shot it using the 'short' loads. Both put some huge holes in the piggies. I think if you want to the ability to shoot the short 'plinking loads" (if a 350 gr at 950 fps is plinking) I'd go with the gnr again. If you have no intention of ever shooting the light loads I think you would be better off going with the linebaugh as you might be able to buy factory ammunition if you were traveling and ran out.

Why not go with the 500 L?

well when my belted Rum case gets made I guess you could stuff a 510 bullet in it to any pistol length but longer than the 500 Linebaugh is the only thing that makes sense. I think a 1.6" 2.1" would be interesting. shoot milsurp bullets out of an encore. Just imagine the right pic center cart but shorter.
