Brent, There are a variety of recomended ways to keep it put. A start would be to thoroughly clean the scope and rings with a solvent and apply a light coat of rubber cement. I haven't noticed any slippage on my 480, and have put some pretty stout loads through, but will have to check and see if it's slipping.

I clean the scope tube and inside of rings with alcohol. Then I use some powdered rosen applied to inside of the rings. This always worked well for me. I have even roughed up the inside of the rings with a little sanding as well.
