I'm sure it was shot by someone at J. Huntington's prior to shipping it out.......

That is an awsome looking beast. Smiler
When you shoot it could you chrono the loads? It would be interesting to see what velocity is obtainable in the short barrel.
How much does she weigh?

Yes, it's been shot! Everyone in the shop drew straws to see who got the short end of the stick. Jason, who built most of it was the unlcky one of us. I was gone the morning he test fired it. He said the biggest supprise other than the expected recoil was how much torque/twist it has. Tom, hold on it's a ride!

Maybe before you shoot it off you should tie a rope from the trigger ring to your foot so it doesn’t end up in space from the recoil….

How does it balance? Does it feel good holding offhand?
Also how much does it weigh?

I'd be interested in what kind of velocities you are getting with what loads. If you get a chance.

Great looking piece BTW.

I was just looking at the pics of it again and had a thought.

Do you guys remember the Highpowers that had the adjustable rear sight like the military rifles have? I think maybe it was on the model that came with the buttstock.

I think that might look cool. If you're going to be shooting 500-600gn slugs capable of traveling to 1000 yds, why not have a sight to go along with it?

It's late, so you can just ignore this if you want.

Just got back from the Linebaugh Seminar and some of the guys there were incredible shots! The first day at the range, they warmed up on the Buff target at 1000 yds. You'd be suprised at how much dust got kicked up on it if not hit.

I need more range time. lol

It balance's very well and it does feel realllly good in the hand(till it goes off)On my postal digital,53 ounces.I was shooting some 525s that come out of a 1886 at 2100,so I dont know what they will chrony?...My ole bud was well warned, but to many crawdads,a beer or two and Big balls, just had to show all who was boss.till the front sight nabbed him on his forehead by the hairline, then the blood flowed like a river!...I then shot it,no problem, but they said it jumped back a good ways...I just need to video it and will do by the weekend!.....LAR,look forward to hearing a report too, anything new from previous shoots?

This was my first seminar so I don't know what went on at the others. I've got some pics to download and sort, then will start a thread on it. I don't have all the details on the penetration tests, but did get to check several of the different 454 bullets for penetration and also shot them out to 800 yds to see if they were still stable at longer ranges.
I just got a call to go fix BB guns at a cubscout daycamp, so I'll have to write more later.
