I've been using RL-22 for my 300WM when loading it with 180 grain bullets, but I'd like to load it with 200 gr Swift A-Frames for Africa. After checking the Alliant web site, I see that they are recommending RL-25 when using the larger bullets. Any thoughts on why that is and would you agree with their suggestion?

Thanks for the suggestions. I just bought some RL-25 and will give it a try. I guess I was just surprised that a slightly different bullet would need a different powder.

If it's good slow powder your after, give up on overpriced Reloader 22 and 25. Try some WC-852 and WC-872 from Jeff Bartlett over at www.gibrass.com This stuff is Ball Powder, and flows thru a measure with ease. I've found it's more consistant also. It's all I use now in my overbore Magnums. The best thing is the price. $40.00 for an 8 pound jug, instead of $25.00 @ pound for Reloader. Bill T.
