SpringRL-22 or RL-25 for a 300WM 200gr Swift?
I've been using RL-22 for my 300WM when loading it with
180 grain bullets, but I'd like to load it with 200 gr Swift A-Frames for Africa. After checking the Alliant web site, I see that
they are recommending RL-25 when using the larger bullets. Any thoughts on why that is and would you agree with their suggestion?

Terry BlauwkampI have used both powders with the 200 gr bullet, and found that there is not much difference.
It all depends on what your gun likes best, so try them both.

SpringThanks for the suggestions. I just bought some RL-25 and will give it a try. I guess I was just surprised that a slightly different bullet would need a different powder.

billtSpring,
If it's good slow powder your after, give up on overpriced Reloader 22 and 25. Try some WC-852 and WC-872 from Jeff Bartlett over at
www.gibrass.com This stuff is Ball Powder, and flows thru a measure with ease. I've found it's more consistant also. It's all I use now in my overbore Magnums. The best thing is the price. $40.00 for an 8 pound jug, instead of $25.00 @ pound for Reloader. Bill T.
