Doc224/375I believe they are just another business in the inevitable long line of imminent failure,
do in part to the economy . Here we are baling out and rewarding failed businesses !. Such as AIG Wall
street financial idiots Automakers Banks Etc. .
When we really should be keeping American businesses afloat that
reside in and provide for Americans !.

0X0Ohhhhhhh c'mon! You don't really want to subsidize "arms dealers" when the global economy needs to bail out Wall Street and GM?

Meet ya on the ARPF where insanity is the norm.
Reloading usually is a sane discussion area.

good lord -- they went of business because they had no inventory .. its NOT a conspriracy
07 January 2010, 02:17
Doc224/375I didn't say it was a conspiracy
WHY would YOU say that ?. Why weren't they able to purchase more inventory ?. Several other shops have been successful , so what
happened ?. By the way where's ALL those Primers you promised back in September Oct. Nov. Dec.
I'm still waiting to see things back to Normal ( I do believe that's the word you used Normal ) ?.

08 January 2010, 03:55
jeffeossodoc,
you r post is self contradictory .. either there's product, or there's NOT ..
back to normal? no federals in the store i went today .. but i stopped counting at 100,000 primers ON THE SHELF, in the 9 basic size .. LR/LRM/SR/SRM/LP/LPM/SP/SPM/209 .. and when i asked "ya'll got anymore in the back?" to which i was answered "yeah, what size you want"
from 29.99 to 36.99 - not even really gouging!
They are back, been back for MONTHS, and because you don't see it aint really my concern .. there's no storage in the 4th largest city in the country, sir

Doc224/375You folks down in the Big T have all the luck ; Still shafting us out here and scarce to locate .
As far as I know Powder Valley wasn't showing any last I looked , I'll check again though .
Just curious as to why Lock Stock went belly up if products are available , wonder what prompted the
closure ?.

homebrewerI was in the big Scheels in Reno today. Ammo for .223, 22LR and all the heretofore scarce self-defense ammo was in good supply. I bought a 500-count box of Winchester "white box" 22LR for twenty-two bucks. That's twice what it was a year ago, but at least I could buy it. If you boys in close-in CA want some, they got plenty of everything...

DannoBooneYes, a shooting friend of mine found out that
LS&B's banker shut them down.
The main reason being, that they could not get
their mainstay products in to sell. Bills came
in just as they always did, while profit
nose-dived.
Hope the same does not happen to Natchez, but
I have had no luck getting reloading and optics
stuff they have had in stock in the past. A
friend wanted me to look up what they were
charging for Savage ML's..........none in
stock. In past years, there was plenty of
merchandise to put it on sale this time of
year after hunting seasons.

OzzieI'm downunder and we did not have anywhere near the problems of supply you had in the states. My understanding of the situation was that it was wise stocking up for the unknown future after the election of whats his name. You know who I mean.
Given that all the companies initially would have had a run on sales at their usual profit margins then a prudent company should have had a buffer for the subsequent shortages.
I have bought from LS&B for years and I liked them but they had supply problems long before the more recent shortages.

AtomicTacoDanno,
I don't think you have to worry about Natchez for the time being, they are a wholesaler as well. That is why they will not sell to residents of TN, AL, and GA so they don't compete with the shops they sale to. They not only supply the retail customers through Natchez but wholesale through Chatanooga Shooters Supply.
