new Nosler Brass pitted

Has anyone had problems recently with new Nosler brass being corroded and pitted? Just opened two 7mm rem mag boxes of brass, both brand new, and each having 5-7 pieces in each box looking horrible! Is Nosler having quality issues? I'm not spending $62/box for questionable brass. Any suggestions/opinions?

The store that I bought the first box from replaced it with the second box. So getting my money back won't be an issue. I guess my question should be do I need to be concerned with the condition of the brass and should I just make the switch to another brand? Thanks.

It could be that Nosler dont know about this problem. It's great that the vendor you bought them from replaced them, but you may want to send correspondence to Nosler like Doc mentioned.

I bought Nosler brass a few times but quit. I checked the neck runout on them and it was not impressive. Even after sizing w/ a known die they still werent great.

K20350, curious as to what you replaced them with...did you have any other problems besides the neck runout? New to all this reloading...what problems would the poor neck roundout cause?

Yes indeed, but it is what you implied in your, "God only knows how long those box's of $62 brass sat on the shelf", that is so negative toward Craig. shame

Amazing how folks react when the shoe is on the other foot.

Hot Core,

good to see being flogged like a dog on your elk hunting thread hasn't changed your asinine personality. I was worried you were going to say something nice for a minute when I saw your name.
Have you ever considered not making rude/stupid inappropriate response posts as a basic goal of your life?

You have got to be the dumbest goober on the forum...

Hey idaho scumsucker, You run out of your brilliant wisdom shown in the Wheatstone Bridge thread?

I don't want to be a bad guy but come on...when I first discovered this forum I was like a kid in a candy store. Now it feels like a waste of my time. If you guys have issues with each other than exchange phone numbers and get it over with. I just have a simple question about Nosler brass that I'd like answered without having to filter through all the negativity. 14 responses only 3 of which address the question raised! Thanks.

One of my hunting buddies who reloads a lot bought a box of the Nosler brass, but it was a couple of years ago. He found them to be in ok shape, nothing defective about them. He chocked a little on the price for his usage and went back to Winchester brass.

My goodness, HC. You are really, really rude. If you recall, VG brought a good bit of wisdom to the table but his relentless abuse of others got him kicked out of AR. The knowledge he brought just wasn't worth the price one had to pay.
I thought that thread about the elk was pretty excessive but now I wonder.
Do you have an AR death wish? Wink

Craig, regarding your Nosler brass. Give Justin a call at the Nosler Proshop. He will take care of you.
