I would like to use some of the powder I have to make up some plinking loads, I'm using the 405 grain Remington bullets I would like to use some longer cut powder (fills the case better) I have some IMR 4350 and some IMR 4064 and I want the velocities to be around 1900fps any suggestions? From Lyman, 45th edition. Starting loads 405 gr jacketed bullet; IMR 4064 67 grains for 1949fs. IMR 4350 72 grains for 1733fps. MAX loads; IMR 4064 74 grains for 2127fps. IMR 4350 80 grains for 1923 fps. Max loads were compressed. I would prefer IMR 4064. I always used IMR 3031 for the 458, because I always had a lot of it on hand. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

What about using Trail Boss for a reduced load. I haven't done it, but it should work real well. velocity is like a new car, always losing value. BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.
