Thx for that. Appreciate it. It didn't feel very fast.

Fast enough to kill your chrony for sure. There are two types of people who own chronys those who have shot them and whose who well shoot them. I haven't destroyed one like that but have hit the edge.

At least the shot was dead center! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

I only wish I didn't know how that felt.

Drilled it mate! If you measure the water capacity of a fired case up to level with the case mouth we can do a more precise calc. The number generated by using the default case size on QL may be a touch high otherwise.

what is the "QL" that ya'll keep referring to? Death Smiles at us all, Navy Corpsman laugh back. Raised in the Mountains of Colorado.

Quickload mate: http://www.neconos.com/details3.htm It's an internal ballistics program that can be useful if it's limitations are known and allowed for.

I have a set of professional quality electronic jewellers scales calibrated in grains. An empty twice fired case weighed 237 grains and was measured twice. Filled with pool water to the brim (No visible miniscus) it weighed 322.4 grains. Capacity 85.4 grains. If someone can help with this new input I'd appreciate it. The Chronograph death was instigated by a .416 Rigby and 400 grain Hornady RNSP over 106 grains of H2213sc. Death was instantaneous. All I saw was the tripod legs cartwheeling down range. A memorial wake was help in the shed and the carcass is now resting under my Springbok shoulder mount, Eland and Camel skull.

I agree with pdog shooter. He beat me to it. A bad day at the range is better than a good day at work.

Thx Ghubert, I don't know why people talk about you the way they do mate. No sooty necks with twice fired and then neck resized brass. Accuracy is the same with 140 Nosler AB's. <1" at 100 yards. Here's the other end of the Chrony. This is the 2nd in 15 years. Next time I'll bore sight over the new chrony before hitting the tit. Mother always said I was a slow learner......

Chrony has a policy of accepting 'shot" ones in on trade. Wonder what they would say about that one?.

nearly everyone with a chrono has done this --- and all the blabbers about "x is better than Y" due to skyscreens... which means you can shoot the skyscreens for cheaper than the whole thing... still its shot opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Code4, I have an F1 Shooting Chrony that I would send you to use for target practice on if you would be willing to pay the shipping! I have already shot a ProChrono that I really liked but I quit taking this F1 to the range so I will never get the joy of putting this POS out of my misery. Dennis Life member NRA
