Has anyone heard about of a new line of bullets comeing out. They are suposed to have a BC of 1.0,work in any barrel with a 1/18" twist or faster, expands to 5xdia. at any speed between 500 and 5000fps and cost 4 times more than normal bullet for the "if it cost more it must be better" gang. PS: They can be seated 0.020" off the rifleing in any chamber and still work through the magazine.

Why of course! Is this a new find for all of you?

The really cool thing about these bullets is that not only do they expand to 5 times their pre-fired diameter, but they retain 125% of their original weight and always create an exit on even the largest of game regardless of velocity/angle of the shot.

Most of their marketing has been focused on the shooter who is on the cutting edge of bullet technology. These shooters "in the know" use the newer technology big game bullets like the Barnes X line, and generally shoot elephants with small to medium bore rifles, anything under 500 pounds with a .223 Remington, and regularly stop dangerous game charges with the .270 Winchester.

With the advent of this new line, those "in the know" will be able to take much larger game with the same calibers even with ill-placed shots and ranges never thought possible. The other alternative they have is to step down a few calibers and take the same game more cleanly than ever before! The .0043 Mosquito Swatter now becomes a viable big game caliber.

It's really turning the hunting world upside down. Their release has caused an uproar within the clergy and law makers world wide. The old ".375 minimum" law in Africa is now completely obsolete and will have to be re-written as well as caliber minimums throughout the World.

I just found an article on them....it says:

quote:
The ballistic coefficient is so good that a bullet leaving a barrel at 3,000 FPS can impact a target 800 yards away and at a speed of 3,200 FPS. A gain of 200 FPS compared to a loss of at least 50% for other bullets.

Frankly folks, I don't really believe it.....I think they're shooting them down hill! rotflmo

Herters weren't as goood as something? How could that be? Afterall their name had atleast 15 adjectives--Supreme,Model Perfect,Deluxe, Custom magnum, world Famous, superior, George L Herter Special, professional, presentation grade etc and you say something is better? What name pray tell did these better ones have?

You better believe it Vapo!

I've done a search on them but can't find that exact article. I would say that explains the reason that the range of the shot is negated as a limitation and opens up a whole new realm of smaller calibers that will get the job done.

From what I've read in what I can find, the material that the bullet is constructed from is revolutionary and a proprietary secret. It's a special alloy that behaves similarly to the monolithic bullets at the cutting edge of today's technology except it actually gains mass as it travels through the air gaining velocity. They don't tell you exactly, but I'm guessing the alloy somehow "reacts" with certain elements in the air, picking up molecules and adding mass. The specific gravity of the alloy is "off the charts". An X Bullet or any other monolithic may expand and "shed" a petal causing it to lose weight, but this thing has properties never seen before. Like Fat_Albert said, it can expand to 5X's its original diameter without losing any of its original mass or any of the mass it aquired on the trip downrange.

It is quite unusual for a bullet to be able to expand to 5X's its original diameter and not lose weight. The properties of the alloy allow for a plasma-like flow after impact, but without breaking any molecular bonding.

I think the reason for the velocity gain downrange has something to do with the strange coating on the bearing surface. Does the article you refer to say anything about it? I can't figure out what it is. It doesn't look anything like a moly coating or any other that I've seen.

No it didn't....but I'm sure Alf & Co will be along shortly to explain it to us! animal

Hey FA, You sure `bout that? I thought that screw was for adjusting the Audio-Responding, Radio-Transmitting, Internally located, Kinetic-Powered, Haphazard Strain Gauge signals. But, my memory may have mixed that up.

I tried the latest NANO bullet, and have a complaint. It seems that the BC is 1+, and the result is that the trajectory is actually up instead of down. Consequently the shooter must hold low, and the further the target, the lower one must hold. I called Leupold and asked them about a custom reticle. They are working on it. In the meantime, they said to just roatate the scope 180 degrees in the mounts or, as an alternative, turn the rifle upside down. The latter is a wonderful solution becase as a left handed shooter, I can now comfortably use right handed bolt rifles.

The money make policy is if you can prove it.

So because The Nano bullet changes at the time of fireing the to the situation you must of wanted them to shoot with A gain in elevation.

So they did once again work Perfectly complaint unfounded.

But just to be fair just send The Perfect Bullet company $1995.00 as advertised above and we well send you NOT ONE BUT TWO FREE SAMPLE PACKS OF NANO BULLETS
