Hey this question is for the fellows that have been loading for awhile. I bought a can of Unique powder at an estate auction that came in a brown paper canister 8lbs or so. Does anyone have any idea how old it is? should I be concerned about how old it is?
thanks

It's hard to believe no one will answer this question. Seems like someone would give me a quess of what year this was made. Come on I know some of you guys have been reloading for 40 years.
Round paper canister 4 lbs. Unique. The powder is usable because it doesn't smell bad like Alex said. Just out of curiosity I would like to know how old it is.
Thanks

Well. It's hard to say the exact age, but I bought a four pound "keg" of Unique back around 1981 from a gun shop. he had about five of those "kegs". I think they changed that packaging sometime in the mid 1980's, but that's just a guess. I'm still loading from that "keg" Paul B.
