good morning. I recently bought a MPA PMR Pro 2, PRS rifle. It is chambered in 6.5 PRC.

MPA states "sub 1/2 MOA" I am finding that it does perform at that level.

However, My 3 round groups are almost EVERY time, two touching and one off by 1/2 MOA or a bit more. It seems that is every group.

I don't dwell on bench-rest and am shooting open desert steel at 200-1200. The 100 yard zeroing group size is good, but I think I can load and shoot thee touching every time.

I've been shooting Hornady 147 ELD factory loads at 2910. I'm going to start reloading, now that I've accumulated enough brass.

Anyone have a load that has performed well for them? Also, which die sets are preferred?

I've only been loading for my DR's and accuracy with those are measured in minute of Buffalo and aren't nearly as touchy.

Thanks for any information.

Wow, that's some dedication to test all those combinations. It looks like Varget powder is averaging the tightest and most consistent results?

Also, are the Redding dies a three die set?

My 6.5 Creedmoor shoots thos itsy bitsy groups with quite a few bullets. It's an AR 10 withe a 5R heavy stainless barrel that I built. At the moment I'm fooling around with it shooting cast bullets.

I got the Redding 3 die set for the 6.5 Creedmoor which has two sizer dies one full length and the other neck sizer, and the bullet seating die is the Micrometer one. I find myself using the neck sizer die even in the semi auto AR10 with zero problems.

I shoot a couple of 6.5 PRC's and my magic powders are Magpro and VVN-565. I get the most speed with Magpro with 130 gr. Barnes TSX bullets and best accuracy with the VVN-565, same bullet. Actually both shoot a ragged hole group when I do my part. Good Shooting.

No two die set.

But I think they do offer 3 die set.

Are you shooting any real distance? I ask because of the lower BC on the 130 Barnes. the 147 ELD has a .697 G1, which is outstanding.

I have shot all the bullets available in .264 caliber and have had good results with all. I am a hunter and hunt mainly Deer and Elk. I don't shoot to any distance over 300 yards as my longest shot on Deer and Elk has been 339 yards on Deer and 299 yards on Elk. My Ruger rifle is an AR type with a 26 inch barrel and I do plan to play with distances in the future. Normally my bullet for game is the Barnes or Northfork and both give great accuracy. My scopes are 3 X 9 Ziess Conquest and 6 X 24 Ziess Conquest on the Ruger. Just started on the 6.5's and having great fun so far. Powders so far RL-25 and 26, Varget, VVN-565 and Magpro.
Good Shooting.

This rifle is an MPA, PMR Pro 2 "PRS" type rifle. Not for hunting. Its 24#. I have a Zeiss LRP S3 6 x 36 x56 on it with MilRad reticle.

Thank you for your input.
