Just wondering if any of you have tried this to fire-form (or water-form!) a case to your chamber?? Looks like a good way to save wear on your barrel and range time.

i DONT HAVE A SET BUT i HAVE SEEN THEM USED FOR a dasher case. Worked pretty good need to have a solidly mounted press. the cases were not perfect but close enough. i think the cases need fireformed anyway. It would cut down on the ammount of componects for fireforming.

I made a like device to form my 550 flanged cases. It worked and I can only imagine that the Hornady one would work better opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Words aren't Murder - Political assassination is MURDER Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? I have one in 6mm Ackley, it works fine in the chamber cut with a reamer to the same spec as the form die. The group was shot at 100yds after hydraulic forming only, 87gr Vmax. Rifle started as a 243 Win, other pic shows 243, 6mm Rem and 6mm AI brass hydro formed. http://riflemansjournal.blogsp...lic-forming-die.html ![]() ![]()
