I'm using Hornady's 195 grain spire point(#3236) in 8X57 Mauser so the fixed sights on my Husqvarna AB will be regulated. That's the closest thing to a featherweight I own!
Although it's not sleek and attractive, Hornady's 170gr. RN (.323")is a tack driver when driven by IMR 4064 or similar propellants in my 8 x 57mm Mauser.

Shoot it from 2000 fps to 3100 fps in a 8 x 57.... and yeah at 3100 fps gang, it is well over SAAMI pressure specs... so I won't hand out the load, but it is done with faster powder than 4895 and that burn rate range.... but it appears to work fine in my long throated Mausers... 5 reloads with a case are no problem..

I use that bullet for a 8x75 RS, even though at 8x57 velocities. So far I shot 2 smallish roe bucks and it seems that at least for game this size the bullet is rather on the hard than on the soft side, at least when shot at about 180 meters they tend to run a little. Shorter distances might give better results.
Predators however drop stone dead.
