The 220 grain Swift A-Frame out of the 8mm Mag @ 2950-ish fps.

Used to use the 220 Barnes X 'til they discontinued it.

Used them both on African plains game.

The 200gr TSX seems to shoot pretty well in my 325 WSM Kimber Montana, though the factory Accubonds aren't too bad either:

Hopefull I'll get to shoot an Elk or something with the TSX combo and get a better idea of how it performs where it really counts..................DJ

I'm using Hornady's 195 grain spire point(#3236) in 8X57 Mauser so the fixed sights on my Husqvarna AB will be regulated. That's the closest thing to a featherweight I own!

Although it's not sleek and attractive, Hornady's 170gr. RN (.323")is a tack driver when driven by IMR 4064 or similar propellants in my 8 x 57mm Mauser.

in 8 x 57... the 170 grain SMP from Speer...

works at low velocity and high velocity..

Shoot it from 2000 fps to 3100 fps in a 8 x 57.... and yeah at 3100 fps gang, it is well over SAAMI pressure specs... so I won't hand out the load, but it is done with faster powder than 4895 and that burn rate range.... but it appears to work fine in my long throated Mausers... 5 reloads with a case are no problem..

I use that bullet for a 8x75 RS, even though at 8x57 velocities. So far I shot 2 smallish roe bucks and it seems that at least for game this size the bullet is rather on the hard than on the soft side, at least when shot at about 180 meters they tend to run a little. Shorter distances might give better results.

Predators however drop stone dead.

DJ, that 325 shows more than a little promise! Enjoy the hunt.
