...but larger now that all my African mounts have been completed. I don't have a dedicated "trophy room" and have a few here and there. I put as many of my African mounts in my study (man cave) without crowding it. This is probably my favorite mount. I decided to shoot a female springbuck to have mounted along with the buck and they came out great together. A few in my family room. And a few in the basement. Here are a few pictures of my eland which I got in with Vaughan Fulton in 2007. Vaughan loves tracking eland and we had a great time hunting this blue bull. Seven full days of tracking but it paid off well. Here is a picture of my wart hog mount which I got in the process of hunting eland. I'm not sure what it was about this hide, but my taxidermist raved about the skinning job Vaughan's tracker/skinner Matthew did. I think he's had several poor skinning jobs on warthogs in the past and Matthew's work made his job all that easier. Here is a mule deer addition from 2006 on the left. Very nice! I especially like the Springboks. I might steal your idea and do the same on my upcoming hunt.

Looks great. Ritche did a great job, and the positioning looks really good. Those are all great trophies. The only question is where are you going to put all the new stuff?

Very nice, I love the zebra, beautiful! I am hoping to do something similar like your springbok with a pair of whitetails, I have a doe I killed and caped out that has a small white blaze on it's nose. All I need to do now is shoot a decent buck to go with her! ~Ann

The only thing Richie has is my mule deer from last November. (Actually, he still has the ground squirrels also.) I still have to be successful next month before I start to worry about where everything is going to go. An eland sure would look nice next to the kudu though. "...Africa. With your trip to Namibia in May, you better start thinking about it now. Not to mention another trip to CO and another mule deer. That will be another 4-6 animals (and eventual mounts) you'll have by the end of the year. What a great problem to have!

Very nice presentatin of your trophies. I was thinking of the exact springbok mount. Unfortunately, I didn't think of it until returning to the states, without a springbok ewe of course. Guess I'll have to go back... _____________________ A successful man is one who earns more money than his wife can spend.

Nice mounts across the board. Your mountain zebra on the pedestal especially looks great. I am going to have to do that with a zebra trophy one day. Congrats. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

I like the Mule Deer on each side of the TV. The symentry of two of the same specie, when placed properly, can be very attractive. I have two Red Stag on either side of a big arch, and Jerry is mounting 2 Buffalo for me to go on the either side of a big old Zim Eland. Too bad you don't have two Eland!

Others said it other ways, but I like that the whole thing comes across as under-stated; not just a wall full of heads. Too many mounts too close together ruin it for me. The zebra does stand out. The profile approach is what I liked. It shows him to best affect. Nice job.

Looks great man. I rember when you killed that biggest mulie. I am so jealous. Maybe next year i can finaly connect on one. I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.
