3 axis does down, 3 pigs. One a great big 200pounder. - haven't shot as yet, but I am sitting in a stand. Great bunch of guys here! I saw 4 axis this morning, sneaking down a creek, but not clearly enough to be certain of their sex, so they walked on.

Pics to follow when we are on a pc, as I am postinng FROM A STAND!

I've been hunting with my 625 and my 257. I'll switch to my 470 after lunch, mebbe that will change my luck

It is 66, light breeze, and overcast. Hummingbirds galore and a flying ballet of fireflies last night, with a pretty good rain about midnight.

I love being in the field!

Thanks for the update, Jeff! Sounds like great weather. Your luck will turn.......

Yes indeed, a day in the field with a firearm -- whether you fire it or ot -- is better than any day in any office.

Have fun!

Bill: Just keep up with "Bob in Tx"'s posts for the next group hunt......I'm not much on groups but I'm seriously considering going to El Doctor Pozzi's place with them next March, a nice bunch of guys, so someone like me needs to lower the average.

Here is a link to a thread on TPP site that fairly well covers the hunt. Food was great and the companionship matched. Frankly the hunting on the ranch was a bit less than all of us expected but it was still a very fine weekend.
