You need to go to the PF if you're going to insult banjo pickers. We're way below that level, especially after the first 5 bottles of wine (first evening)...... clap

As I have been heard to mention on numerous occasions while confronting such hazardous duty as we performed friday night, " I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy"

Gato, thanks for the fruit of the vine. Even got to listen to Dino sing about "That little old wine drinker, me". Evidently I'm not the only one that can "resemble" that remark.
It was a pleasure.

Jeffe:

We had this discussion at the ranch, so I went and looked it up. The Oryx we saw driving around with the broken horn was indeed a Scimitar-horned Oryx (sc. name Oryx dammah), which is somewhat cream colored with brownish forequarters, apparently a darn rare critter, more of them in Texas than the rest of the world........the Oryx we normally call Oryx/Gemsbok in Namibia/South Africa are sc. name Oryx gazella and are gray with black toning.

Finally, I'm always coming with "damn, I shoulda done...".....looked at the McNutt ranch web site, and while it said these special prices expired 1/1/09 at that time a mouflon ewe was $35. Hell, I'd have shot 2 or 3 of them for BBQ at that rate. Got to taste more or less like Cabrito which I love.......if those prices are still good I might go back for a few sheep, that's what you're left with when you get old.......Baaaaahhhhh! clap

I saw a huge doe while driving with Micah and I am trying to find a picture on the internet. It was very dark brown maybe red with a white stripe in the middle top of each ear. What I gather from the site is that all does are $200.00. That one was especially huge and would have filled the void in my freezer. Maybe next time Wink

I'm just damn glad someone else drank all that wine, otherwise there is the smallest chance that I might have been somewhat inebriated......... beer

Actually,
I had taken four Pasadena police officers on a semi-annual hog hunt that I do. They wanted to get a picture of the tusks. They drink Miller lite. The bottle happened to be handy.

Pig turned hard core. Ya'll remember that show from the late '70s early 80s called "Thats Incredble"? If memory serves me correctly they had a junk yard guardpig that drank Pepsi. Is this a Pepsi drinker in his retirement enjoying a little Lite dutySmiler?
