bwanamrmNice, I love your wildebeest fly switch!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

300magmanGreat idea. I had thought of doing something similar with a coffee table that has a glass top and display area. But I like this better.
04 February 2007, 22:26
Use Enough GunThat is outstanding. Congratulations on something very beautiful as well as memorable. By the way, to those who wish to do photos rather than taxidermy, that is a great way to do it.
04 February 2007, 22:47
RBHuntThat is much nicer than just photos, and does not take a lot of space. I like it!

RustyI see you have learned well!

ROSCOEVery nice....how did you make all the stuff stay in place when it hangs on the wall? What is keeping the contents from falling to the bottom?

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! shootawayI just don't like it.Get something nice like a wildlife painting or a small ivory clock or a book holder or fancy bar stools etc...That looks like something one makes in grade school.

I guess this is about what you would expect from someone from Queer-bec. Is there not a French phrase that captures the notion that if you do not have something good to say, then keep your mouth shut? But then again, I guess with most French speaking folks that would mean that they would never speak. Come to think of it, that wouldn't be so bad either.

Wooly ESSWhat an attractive and creative idea! Not only does it preserve and bring back fond memories of the hunt, I'll bet it is a real conversation starter when you have guests. I can see several folks at a party, gathered around it asking questions and commenting on the objects within.
I have saved a copy of your photo for future reference should I try something similar. I hope you don't mind.

shootawayNow there's something nice, but aren't there any artists that can do better? Sonia Reid,a woman??? Africain wildlife art might be too passionate for a woman!

I mean to say you consistently act in an asinine manner to people all over AR, something a gentleman does not do.
I am no art critic, but your comment about the painting in question is chauvinistic and ill-founded.

MJinesPerhaps he has special sensitivities for things feminine . . . if you get my drift.
He certainly seems to be perceptive of feminine things not seen by the rest of us. Charles, I would be careful mentioning the term ass, might give him some ideas.

With so much free time, you might want to consider redirecting {sic} "haveing some fun" by taking some grammar lessons and polishing (a lot) your social skills.
You come across as a pedantic, ill-mannered ten year old. jorge

<Hunter Formerly Known As Texas Hunter>I think we would all agree that some of the finest people we've ever known lack formal education. That has certainly been my experience.
Reading previous posts by "shootaway", it is apparent he has little experience in firearms and no experience in hunting Africa. Not only are his posts offensive, they have no value. He has nothing to offer to this forum.
Let's all hope he receives the attention and professional help he so desperately seeks and needs.

MJinesShootaway epitomizes why many of the French, and their first cousins, many of the French-speaking people from Quebec are held in such universal high esteem around the world. In the words of the that famous French folk philosopher, Monsieur Will Roget, "I never met a man that I considered my equal."
