jwmBeautiful stuff.
I'm just happy when people in my photographs are recognizable. Any artistic effects are always entirely accidental.

Dutch44I love great photos like these. That shotgun is seriously off-face. Don't think I'd shoot it!!

It sure was, he was a milli second from shooting a dog with that gun, I can only wonder how it would have ended. Here is another pic of that shotgun.
Thanks everyone

Todd WilliamsAnton,
Your pictures are always interesting. I find that the longer I look at them, the more there really is to see in each one. It's not just mastery of the equipment but mastery of the composition that I find intriguing.

bwana cecilI wish I had something profound to add to this, but all I can come up with is, "You sir are really good at what you do with a camera".
Add me to the list for the coffe table book.

bwanamrmAlways enjoy your work Anton... would love to learn some of your tricks of the trade. Cool stuff!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Bill/OregonAnton, these are wonderful images, as we have come to expect from you. I think I like the children the best. To see those momentary sparks of happiness captured in time, and then to ponder how each young life has played out is a very serious business.

Can you provide a close up of the shotgun's top rib? I'm having a hard time reading the Audley Street address.

Maximus BrutusAnton,
Truly wonderful images. Thank you for sharing.
May I enquire what camera you used and how much PP was involved?
16 December 2012, 16:40
A.DahlgrenMaximus
Yes this pics are bit of PP done of all of them, like added tones of color, saturation, sharpness etc. Most of them way to much PP for my own taste but I think its fun trying to do something different.
I use a canon 5dmkII and most of these pics are taken with a 85mm 1.2

GraftonSuper work!
One thing about group shots of black Africans that is always striking is the variety of expression. Happy, angry, curious, playful, excited, tired, sick, unsure, etc...
You have a done a very nice job of capturing that. Thanks for sharing these.
