I've braved 60 miles of slick, icy roads to get to the HSV hotel where I will overnight before flying to DFW at 6am (weather permitting).

Dinner committments with PHs and outfitters will keep me from attending the AR party, but if anyone sees me and recognizes my ugly mug (see below), PLEASE slap me on the back and introduce yourself. I, for my part, will try to do the same.

I hope everyone gets just what they want at DSC!

P.S. My pajama-wearing, leopard hunting bride will not be there. You will have to go to Reno to meet Mrs. Safari Lawyer.

Safe travels and enjoy the show!!

I just got back after taking my 5 yo daughter. I promised her a stuffed animal....the only one we could find was a near-life sized Zebra that cost me almost as much as the trophy fee for a real one!!! (big fun walking around with a ginormous stuffed toy, let me tell you....)

Regards,
Scott

Will,

I am jealous. I had to cancel my trip to DSC a week ago due to conflicts. Now trying to figure out how to get to Reno. I need to talk to Jonny about an elephant and buffalo hunt in 2011. Give my best to Jonny and Alistair.

The average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty; and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
