2:30 AM CDT The lions now number six, three females, and three males. One of the lionesses is in very poor shape. Two of the males seem to be quite old, bt not heavily maned, still both shooters. The buffalo they killed seems young, but with fair horns, that haven't started to drop and turn back yet, and a little soft.

The average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty; and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies.

The camera seems to be mounted on a high fence. Against the fence is another buff skull with horns.

Maybe they are being fed, but why not cows instead? Buffalo are worth alot of money in the RSA

I love this wildcam!

Now that the lions have occupied the water hole for a couple of days and had Christmas dinner on the buffalo, how long before the other animals begin to return?

Wildebeast, impala and monkeys now. The camera panned to the lodge and it looks to be about 200 yards from the waterhole. Still very cool and enjoy seeing what will happen next.

Yep, pretty cool! This is a great site, and really works well with the new Windows Media Player v11 when minimized to the Toolbar, so that you can watch a miniaturized screen and then maximize when something good comes on. Screenshots too via Ctrl-Print Screen if you back down the "video acceleration" under the Options | Performance tabs to 50%. I can post a how-to one of these days...

Can anyone provide the location of the lodge so I can find the place on google earth? Tried just panning over the Kruger border areas but that's a lot of ground to cover!
