My sincere condolences and prayers go out to Cathy and the rest of Wayne's family and friends.

I had the privilege of hunting with Wayne in Lobo in 2006 and we have kept in touch since. Wayne and I shared an epic hunting adventure including snakes and flash floods that I will never forget. Thank you Wayne for those memories. He was a fantastic PH, a chef, an entrepreneur, and an all-around gentlemen.

You will be missed my friend. God Bless. Brian

Prayers sent...

Do we know how he met his untimely death? Was it via dangerous game or some accident or both? Rumors are just that...

MAN! This has been a tough year! Eeker

People do not realize how dangerous a PH's job is! Clients just take it for granted that he can protect the whole party no matter what happens. The PH needs protection as well, and that may fall in the lap of the client, so be alert! old

R.I.P. Wayne!

What an awful shame. Sounds like he was a fine guy. If there is a lesson to be paid for at such great price, I hope we can learn from it after the details emerge. Meantime, back to Dave Fulson's comment. What are Wayne's family's needs and how might they be met?

I would think that by now some details of the tragic event might be available. After the grief, these incidents should be viewed as a learning opportunity. We call them after action reports and they are conducted after every critical incident. Hopefully someone with knowledge will post the circumstances, so that we all may learn from it.

Thanks in advance.

Lionhunter, I believe some details will be posted Monday or Tuesday, and information on how we can all help. I agree, sometimes there is a lesson, and sometimes it is just the luck of life. God make his face to shine on the family ...
