Wayne Clark, whom I have never met before, met his untimely death yesterday, at the hands of a buffalo whilst guiding a hunt in Lolkisale area.

I do not have details of the incident, other than he was unconcscious when help reached him and passed away en route to Hospital.

If I get any further accurate detail, I shall post these. If any one else has accurate details pls post them.

Pls keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

i am at a complete loss for words. I have hunted with Wayne 4 times, most recently in May hunting elephant in Zim. He was my friend and I simply don't know what to say. If anyone gets news of arrangements please post it. I have sent his wife Cathy a note offering any help.

We got the call yesterday and were, as you can imagine, unbelievably saddened by the sudden loss of yet another friend. We have filmed with Wayne many times and we are actually editing a Tracks episode featuring Wayne as the PH. Just seems impossible at the moment, a feeling we have had all to often this terrible season. I called Ivan yesterday and told him, and as Wayne is a buddy he was understandably torn up. He knows the game, as did Wayne, and all of our combined PH friends, and we should all stop to think of what these good men do to help us enjoy days afield in Africa. We should continue to try to help his family with prayers, emails, and financial support. Lets figure out how to help Wayne's family. A terrible loss men.

What sad news. Wayne was certainly one of the finest in this industry, a real gentleman. I was fortunate to get to know him from his early apprenticeship years, learning his trade from Clive Lennox.

My sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.

To have shared a life in the wilds of Africa, and in the areas he was so passionate about is a blessing. RIP young man.

Wayne had conducted two hunts for us this season in Matetsi and was scheduled to do another one for us in August. Clients always returned with high praises for his professionalism as well as his warm personality. I am leaving on Sunday for Zimbabwe and was planning on visiting with him during the visit. Our prayers and condolences to his family.

This is very sad and tragic news. I also knew Wayne and along with my partner, hunted with him in Lobo in 2006. We'd kept in touch briefly through the years. He was a fine man and a pleasure to be around.

My condolences to his family and prayers for their comfort. It is very very sobering.
