Dutch44That's Rosie O'Donnell playing the warthog and Barbara Walters the lioness. Directed by Spielberg with special effects by that dude that did Star Wars. Or maybe not.

RhysPig's got some attitude.
Reminds me of a video I saw a couple years back of a Warthog piglet and a big male lion. Ya know that little guy was a small snack, but by God he has sure trying to go after that lion like he weighed 500 pounds with tusks to match.
Yes it's cocked, and it has bullets too!!!

graybirdThe video reminds me of a show I saw many moons ago that was on like Wild Kingdom or something like that.
There was a cheetah chasing some warthog piglets with the mother warthog trying to defend them. Eventually, the cheetah had one of the piglets singled out from the group and the race was on. Then, out of no where he comes the mother warthog and drills the cheetah in the side!! They roll around a bit and then the cheetah high tails it out of there with ole momma hot on the cheetah's heels. The funniest part was the cheetah came out of the battle with a broken tail. About 20 inches from the tip the tail was broken and made a nice W, or something similar to butt prints on a dusty car hood.

Pauly3511Is it an unwritten rule around that there always must be one idiot that says every picture or video posted here is staged?

VlamStill my favorite game Animal, the Warthog. Tougher than tough and an attitude to boot. I have friends who ranch cattle up near Vryburg in Northwest Province. You ask any of their cattle herders about pigs and they all have a story of being chased up a tree by one or other angry female with piglets through the years.

SGraves155Yup, she was really interested in somehting off-camera that had her worried.
Here's another video from that link showing a leopard dragging a young giraffe thru the grass.

friarmeierThanks for the compliments, everyone--sheesh!
Maybe this is as advertised--who knows? And I really don't know how a person would stage something like it.
But I do know that you can find almost anything on the internet, and it wouldn't be the first time someone did something screwy like this.

ozhunterThat is a take from the film Born Free.

GraftonA more interesting film to me is the lions taking down the giraffe on the same page as the above video.
I had always heard that many of the Kruger lions had "learned" a technique to take down giraffe on the tar roads because the giraffe slip very easily on the pavement. After seeing this video It loooks like just the weight of the lion on the neck is enough to bring it down.

Wimpie le RouxOne gutsy warthog, she desided she is not the afternoon snack for the lioness. Goes to show staged or not the bully gets a bloody noose now and again.
