The reason I ask is that this statue is famous in the area for being an incredibly ugly super mega bugly stuff up and I'm curious to know what others think of the statue in general and the stance in particular. - I note that Wikipedia claim the gait is that of a domestic cat......... and I also wonder what forum members think of that statement. | |||

Mrlexma, If I remember correctly it is in the Campo Manin (Venice) and my guess is that it is between 125 and 140 years old - revise that to 125 to 150 years give or take a few. ALLEN W. Shakari In my opinion, the two things I see that strike me as wrong, and the tail is not typical of a lion who is growling at something, and the muscle structure is out of whack! I have a hunting buddy who has one of the funniest sense of humours I've ever come across and he had his Lion set up in almost that exact position because that's the position the Lion was in when my buddy shot him! | |||
