Lane, I think too many of us, whether we hunt Africa or just in North America are naive about the forces that are working to end hunting and the means they are enlisting to win.

We all seem to dedicated to build fences among ourselves.

Lane,
Would YOU be shocked if Trump comes out in vocal, over-the-top(loud-mouthed) support of such enforcement? It is time to wake-up to the fact that Trump is not to be trusted by anyone. He will do whatever he feels will strengthen his position. The loud-mouthed garbage on Piers Morgan's show was very calculated.

Where you and I differ is in the fact that you seem to believe that the person who happens to be POTUS has a great deal of power to change things through use of standard presidential powers. I don't believe that.

From where I stand a polarizing person like Trump in office actually strengthens the opposition(Trump couldn't even get backing from congress to repeal Obamacare). All signs point to the likelihood that conservatives are going to get trounced in the midterm elections. Trump deserves a lot of the blame not just because of his past but also because he can't keep from saying(and tweeting) garbage on a regular basis.

If Hillary had won the Republicans would have held onto their majorities in congress in part because she is also a very polarizing figure(and a proven POS!). Her presidency would have been pretty weak.

Neither of these "jerks" should have been on the ballot.

You Trump supporters are beginning to look like zombies. If he saw that his garbage was hurting his support amoung those who voted for him he might wake-up. Or not....

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Trump supporters would be cheerleading tomorrow if he said we should not have guns!

Blind support for a politician is a recipe for disaster.

It never has failed in the past, and will not fail now either!

We expected this from Hilary, but certainly not from him!

To say he has been an utter failure in what we had hoped he would do, is a great under statement!

He could have said we should keep the ban pending further study, and left it at that.

Not him.

He had to go the extra mile to criminalize all hunters, to get a few more Twitter popularity!

And doing it on an interview with Morgan doubles the effect!

That interview put the two biggest antihunting assholes in the world face to face!

You need to look at the currents numbers. GOP looking pretty good for mid-terms.

Weak or not...it 100% would have been the end for hunting of iconic African species. In case you didn’t watch for the last 8 years...Congress exerts ZERO influence over USF&WS.

Neither of these "jerks" should have been on the ballot.

Believe me...I have voiced my extreme disappointment with his rhetoric against hunting with those who are as close to him as I can get.

Lets adapt and move on. Bugger the politics.

Hell Andrew, I quit bringing trophies home 6-7 years ago and hasn’t stopped me. Headed to Bots for some plains game in Sept and nothing will be coming home. It’s all about the hunt. Trump failed us, so move on....
