Kayaker, maybe you havent been north of this sign then , it says Tropic of Capricorn on the other side in Large letterrs (coming from South) and Steenkokskeerkrinng in Large letters on this side (coming from north) We also stopped at this sign last year and had some photos when we hunted with Frederik. | |||

Yes, we did get some gold the kids struck gold rush as soon as they had the idea in their head that if were lucky and it is quiet the guide would give them a chance. Most of the gold panned these days is only fine dust but he says that after heavy storms they get some luck with heavier pieces. That is why gold is mined and not panned anymore these days in the area.
