You know I have watched the back and forth in the past with Shootaway and the comments made.

Always amazes me at how there are a few on here who are suppose to be grown, worldly men who just cannot refrain from acting like complete jerks. It is this continuing behaviour that detracts from this sight.

My father use to refer to much of what I see on here as the two asshole theory…….. for something to continue in a negative way it takes TWO sides that continue to conduct themselves like assholes in order for things to never improve.

Shootaway asked a question nicely and some of you respond in a childish fashion. Grow up.

Skyline, here is your chance to demonstrate that you are a better man than the rest of us that have put up with George's crap for years. Why don't you pick a restaurant and offer to meet George for dinner to share some quality time together with him? That would be stepping up to the plate and setting a good example for the rest of us.

lshores - For sure. If I didn't have 4 nights room on the house, 4 day no charge entry to the Show and a real cheap airfare I would not be attending. I don't like Vegas and wasn't planning on ever going to SCI in Vegas again, but this was to good to pass up. Call me cheap or whatever, just don't like PAYING for something I don't enjoy. (the town, not the Show). See ya all there.

Well you know I would do that if I was going, just wouldn't be that big of a deal. I quit going to SCI's convention a long time ago. It is not the sort of thing that I enjoy. Way too many people…………. I much prefer being out on the trapline and looking after our livestock. At least you can take them at face value.

But I hope you boys have a good time in the big city.

Vegas and inexpensive don't belong in the same sentence.

There was a time that they did. Cheap plane fare. Cheap eating with good food. And cheap hotel rates. They kept everything down so that you would stay and gamble. Now...everything is priced 3 times what it costs everywhere else.

I used to speak yearly at a convention in Vegas and watched the prices skyrocket. They went up even faster after the recession.

I hate Vegas...I try to stay away from it.

Not sure I would characterize Vegas as being expensive. I agree that meals and drinks are expensive, but airfare and hotel rates are still a steal. I am at the Luxor and my room rate is just over $50/night. Airfare from Houston was around $400. Try to find a $50/night hotel anywhere these days.

thanks for the vote of confidence, Jeff. however, i will always try my best to be as far away from the Montreal Moron as humanly possible. my bullshit tolerance is simply not that high anymore. i do, however, consider it an honor that he singles me out to the exclusion of his other myriad detractors. it's not like i am the only person to call his stupidity/ego into question. he is definitely a legend - in his own mind.
