Thanks for the warning. Good to put a face with a name. Google her, plenty of photos.

Wouldn't be shocked if she showed up at SCI or DSC.

Activities such as those described should be immediately reported to the event sponsors. This is behavior that is likely not allowed and they would be escorted off the premises.

If she were to show up again at anyone's booth or even on a "one on one" discussion, with the intention of recording or filming the event, she needs to make her intentions quite clear in seeking approval, failure of which can get her ass landed in hot water.

She ought to be baited and made an example of just for good measure.

Sounds like some idiot is trying to make a name for herself.

In England they have a pretty model who models for PETA, but apart from a pretty face, that one has much intelligence as a rock too.

Someone should send her to Kenya to interview Hooker. I am sure, don could entertain her in ways that would make her forever leave the hunting community and it would give the native women a rest.

Yeah, I'm sure you'll win that battle ... 2020

... ... ...

There's only one way to deal with this situation: honestly, directly and forthrightly.

Remember, you are in the right, and she has been misinformed.

If she is truly an investigative reporter, she is seaching for the truth, and that's all you need to tell her.

Be kind, be attentive, be informative ... even a little condescending if necessary (but not too much).

Do NOT treat her as a worthy adversary. Treat her as a victim of people who thrive on misinformation.

Treat her as a child lost in the wilderness, a wilderness of misinformation.

Invite her to step back through the looking glass and into the real world.

If she seems resistant or antagonistic, just smile, stay positive, and offer to help her with her project.

Then thank her for her interest; invite her back, and walk away.

She's presumably threatened him with legal action but as long as he posts the truth & doesn't post anything libellous, defamatory or untrue he's perfectly within his rights to post whatever he likes.

I'm surprised she feels the need to resort to subterfuge because there's plenty of info & ridiculous videos readily available on the lion issue anyway.......

As it happened in the UK & bearing in mind the recent events with the Leveson inquiry etc, I rather suspect he'd not only have grounds for complaint about the way she was doing things but also possibly about the way she (presumably) might have tried to gag him........ IF (note the big IF) that is the case.

I'm not an attorney, although I do play one on TV.

That said, anyone can sue anyone for almost anything. Ridiculous or not, facts and reason be damned. If you want to spend the money on an attorney to sue someone for a talk forum post, you can. I'm sure there is an attorney out there who will take your money. (And I am sure this group probably has big money to blow.)

As the poster, you would probably need an attorney as well, so, why bother with it?

Probably a bluff, but I'm sure the OP didn't want to fight her. I'm sure he doesn't care to hire an attorney either. I don't blame him. It's a lot easier to just walk away.

Cat's out of the bag though. Thanks to him for exposing her.

They had a system in England before where if you sue anyone, the guilty party pays ALL legal fees.

That has stopped all the silly cases in the past.

Apparently the politician have been persuaded to change the law and put it in line with the American system.

Now anyone can sue anyone, and the only winners are the bloody lawyers.

Guy's call me what you like.
Just be aware that if you are an hunting agent or outfitter, that if you are approached by anyone wanting to make a film about any sort of hunting, then do a check on them to see what type of films they make and do be aware, that even when they asking you if you will take part in it then there is a chance that they are wearing a wire!

Good point, otherwise you might just end up wearing a mankini and starring with Long Dong Silver in "Professional Hunter - Hunted"

Blott

(and other interested parties)

I'm not necessarily referring to this particular instance but as a rule of thumb:

IF (note the big IF) you feel someone from the media has unfairly tried to deceive you and/or set you up and/or IF (note the big IF)you feel someone has tried to gag you with threats of legal (or other) action, you might like to complain to the police because since the Leveson inquiry kicked off the goalposts have moved & attitudes have changed dramatically & they may well have broken the guidlines and/or law....... In which case they can be in VERY BIG trouble.

If you're unsure then it's probably worth going to the police asap & running it past them.

No, I didn't type it, even though the words are similar to what you have previously used and all
other things show that you were on the computer posting on this forum before and after your post on this thread ?

Internet libel laws differ from country to country & are many & varied but as long as the statements are the proveable truth & are not libellous, defamatory or untrue then they're not illegal.
