Atta boy RAB. Let's get the 400HH going. By the way, let's see what Browning Product Group has to say about a 458 Win. in their BLR. I'm waiting for a response as you read this. Roger QSL

I know this is ancient news, but I just spotted this comment while doing some reading. I never owned or had any interest in Hawk Bullets, they are a totally seperate opperation. Just setting the facts straight

I realize these are two different cartridges, but I am taking my 400 Whelen Ackley Improved to Tanzania in August. I'm after lion and buffalo (as well as assorted plains game). The North Fork softpoints I am shooting have a SD of .305 I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs. Garrett

Rich, I'm not sure it is all that different ballistically from the 411 Hawk. .411 bullets. 2400 fps with 300 grain bullets. Bullets that are currently available are in 300, 325, 330, 350, 360, and 400 grain weights. I plan on using the 330 grain cup-point solids (North Fork) for buffalo. I haven't worked up the final loads for that yet, as my rifle won't be back from the stockmakers until the end of this month. I want to experiment some more with IMR 4895 for that load. I am shooting for 2250 to 2300 fps with the 330 cup points. (I was using AA 2230 before) Garrett
