I did not ask who is NOT going.
I do not want this thread to turn into a SCI bashing tread either.

I think, SCI SHOW IS ANOTHER GOOD REASON to spend week in Vegas
It's fun town without the doubt
Plus SCI. Show is great and so much to see and so many people to talk to on the floor
No organization is perfect, but they do a lot and even if they cater to rich hunters, they still try to protect the right to hunt for all of us and that to m e is worth every penny I spend on membership and show.
My girlfriend went with me last year and now she wouldn't miss for the world
Besides the fact I turned her into a blood thirsty killer this past hunting season ( first mulie and first antelope )

So gentlemen, drop your cocks and grab your socks and head to Vegas

Frost - agree totally on your thought. Always wondered why people can't just attend the Show/s of their choice without ragging on the others? Harrisburg, Houston, Dallas and SCI/Vegas, SHOT Show, Sheep Show and many others are ALL good shows put on by folks that do their best to represent ALL us hunter types.

Everyone has their own personal reasons for choosing the Show they like best and choose to attend, like location, cost of attending, ease of attending, particular interests represented etc. Maybe, just maybe that's why ALL these Shows seem to be doing very well currently?

I like going to SCI just cuz I like to be around like minded people who think like myself, open minded and like adventure-travel, hunting, etc...
Like the whole show from the all the outfitters to the guns to the taxidermy ...
Meet up with quite a few clients, talk to outfitters that employ my studio, hell it's just a good time minus the cost of food and drink... patriot

An interesting observation:

None of the folks who replied to this post mentioned that they're going to look for a hunt...

I'll be attending for a couple days this year. Mainly going for the opportunity to meet up with friends made on previous hunts.

I'm going with my wife,
We like the Vegas show and love the activities and shopping.
I'm not a Blaser guy Smiler but I may get another CZ in .458 Lott
There's also some great knife makers there and this year i think I am finally going to buy one or two.
Also, you know i always find fantastic deals on Clothes at places like Beretta and Boyt.
I will also probably drool over a VC Double that I'd like to be able to buy someday.
I'm also interested in some hunts in the future but this isn't a great year for me to pull the trigger on a major safari etc

I'll be at SCI looking for a Uruguay bird shooting / fishing trip. Just got in today from 2 days at the Las Vegas Riviera gun show where several of the high-end gun dealers who routinely show at SCI were also present. At least one very nice CSMC 20ga Smilerdestined for SCI, will not make it to SCI.
