I need to do the same. Need to answer once and for all why Biebs needs so much backing up help from me. Is it the rifle or the man ?

I think I will buy a Blaser and disprove once and for all the rifle part of the question.

I am thinking left handed 300 win mag and 375 H&H - synthetic stock.

Blaser with wood stocks just don't seem to match.

Savannah-Brown

I also want one of the new Blaser with steel - no plastic crap for me. Seen too many photos on the internet of people with their faces blown off.

Also can you lock the trigger? I like the removeable trigger but I want to be able to lock it too.

I want one of the accurate ones.

We can also discuss open sighted big bore rifle shooting, a specialization of Shootaway, as Biebs told me all rifle barrels from Blaser will be fitted for free with iron sights dancing

Mike- you are being lured to the dark side. Be careful - you may find out Biebs is your father!
Save your cash for another double rifle. In any case, see you there. I will have the whiskey box and some 18 year old single malt to share.

Biebs

Is this the one I am getting ?

http://www.eurooptic.com/blase...-safari-package.aspx

375 H&H is the max I would shoot in a blaser. Sacred of the 458 lott.

Jim - we need to nail the rifle versus shooter thing once and for all. Only way to do that is getting a blaser.

Admiral I need to get more doubles. I wish someone made a 375 H&H - regular one not a flanged. I now have a ton of 375H&H ammo.

Speaking out doubles. I am thinking of getting one of these - not a rifle but pretty neat

http://www.beretta.com/en-us/486-by-marc-newson/

Admiral are you at DSC or SCI. I am going to DSC - maybe Biebs can get me some passes to SCI Smiler

Sorry for talking over your thread shootaway

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

SCI is way too expensive relative to DSC.

I think I am going to DSC and HSC along with work meeting in TX between and around them.

Vegas is nice but I will find a way to spend way too much money there.

I heard Biebs has also backed out of holding an AR drink feast at the comfort inn. There goes my shot of getting some free drinks out of Biebs. Will have to go heckle him at the Blaser booth.

DC - I attended both shows last year and enjoyed both of them. The highlight at DSC was the get together at the BBQ place with the AR crowd. Guess that isn't happening this year? I found DSC to be a lot smaller than SCI exhibitor wise, no badges for the attendees made identifying folks almost impossible, absolutely nothing to do after the Show closed except go to dinner somewhere and back to the hotel. Dallas has to be one of the most boring places to visit, stay that I have ever been to.

While Las Vegas is not high on my list either as a destinations, must say the after Show activities are outstanding. Good food, great shows, casinos and the like really fill up the downtime after the Show. I personally like that SCI is a "members only" show and that for me creates a better atmosphere for doing some business and being around like minded individuals. Also cost for me is half to Vegas as opposed to Dallas.

Will only attend SCI this year, (nothing against DSC) and am looking forward to seeing old hunting friends, talking with some new outfitters, and hope to see a few AR folks there as well. If we are just talking "pretty boring and desperate", well you know my answer.

Enjoy which ever Show you choose to attend and I see no need to BASH either one as always seems to be the case here.
