I realize this was a US hunter on a British hunt, but this is the type of reprehensible crap behaviour blasted over social media that provides the fuel for the anti-hunter and anti-gun movement. Her silly TV show should be terminated and the sponsors should end their support for her.

What an embarrassment.

A controversial US huntress has sparked fury by posing next to a sheep she has just killed and holding up a blood-covered sex toy in a shocking photo.

Larysa Switlyk, a TV host who caused outrage by taking selfies with dead goats during a hunting trip in Scotland earlier this year, smiles as she holds aloft the rubber fist while kneeling over the body of a freshly-killed male soay sheep.

The photo was taken during an all-girls hunting trip to Norfolk, which was called off by the organiser halfway through due to the raucous, 'hen-do atmosphere'.

British hunter Jenna Gearing was one of those involved in the trip but said she quit early disgusted by Ms Switlyk's attitude.

She said the sex-toy had been bought for one of the girls, who was celebrating her 30th birthday in a pub the night before the photo was taken.

Ms Gearing, 24, told MailOnline: 'It was a bit of fun during the party but I have no idea why it was brought out the following day on a hunt.

British hunter Jenna Gearing said she quit the event early because she was disgusted by Ms Switlyk's attitude. She said the sex-toy had been bought for one of the girls, who was celebrating her 30th birthday in a pub the night before the photo was taken.

One of the women on the trip, British hunter Jenna Gearing said she left early because she was disgusted by Ms Switlyk's attitude. She said the sex-toy had been bought for one of the girls, who was celebrating her 30th birthday in a pub the night before the photo was taken

'It was an appalling thing to do, a complete show of disrespect to the animal she has just killed.

'I'm not friends with her [Larysa] any longer and In fact the reason I left that hunt early was because I was so against what she stood for and her morals.

'I'd left the hunting trip before that photo was taken but it is an embarrassment to people that hunt like me and my family, who do it for sustainability, management and to eat wholesome freerange meat that I can source.'

Ms Gearing said that Switlyk, 33, had been 'looking forward' to killing Chinese Water Deer, imported from Asia that now live wild in Norfolk and East Anglia.

She added: 'You can tell a lot about people with the way they talk about hunting and Larysa was boasting about killing as big a water deer as she could find to take the tusks from their mouth as a trophy.

'She was rude and arrogant to everyone on that trip and has a complete disregard for the animals she kills.

'Even the organiser of the hunt called it a day half-way through. She is unbearable.

'All I can say is that if someone gets pleasure out of shooting an almost domestic animal walking around a small fenced field then that's a real concern; especially to show to sheer lack of respect of the animal by doing that.

'If that's what a famous 'hunter' is, it's an embarrassment to the rest of us that do it as a way of life, to manage and take only what you need off the land to feed our family's food, honest, free range meat.

'She is no hunter she is a killer and should be ashamed, and it's people like her that give us a bad name. The fact she has no shame about any of the publicity she is getting says it all.'

A hunting expert who was shown the image by MailOnline believes Switlyk had cut the sheep's throat to let the blood before smearing it over the sex toy.

He said: 'It was an absolutely revolting thing to do. It's callous and shows a complete disrespect to the animal.'

Other photos from the same Norfolk hunting trip uploaded on to Switlyk's Instagram page show her posing with a dead dear and admiring the size of the antlers and showing off the tusks from a dead Chinese water deer with the caption: 'I can't get over these fangs'

She also poses with a dead muntjac deer and writes: 'Tricky little buggers but so much fun to hunt.'

Garry Doolan, spokesman for the British Association for Shooting and Conservation, said: 'As the UK's largest shooting organisation, we are appalled by the pictures. If that is the manner in which she wishes to portray shooting, then Larysa Switlyk is not welcome on these shores again.

'She appears interested only in promoting herself and driving interest for the online brand she is trying to create. She is shamelessly putting profitability before ethics.

'Her behaviour stands only to damage the sport she says she is trying to promote and will be rightly condemned by the UK shooting community.

'Her antics are utterly at odds with the values and standards of a UK shooting community which is driven by strong ethics and respect for quarry.'

The latest photos emerge just a month after Switlyk received death threats for Instagram selfies with an Islay goat she shot while hunting in the Scottish Highlands last month.

The huntress posted an image on Twitter of her fellow hunter posing with one of his kills.

She wrote in the post: 'Congrats on Jason on his gold medal. A unique hunt.'

Judy Murray, the mother of tennis star Andy, was among those who voiced their outrage, tweeting: 'A unique hunt? Disgraceful.

'It's a goat. And it's in Scotland, on a beautiful island.

'Stop this please @scotgov.'

Ms Switlyk has long made headlines with her unrepentant Instagram packed with selfies of her and the bodies of her prey – wildlife from across the world.

She is a certified public accountant turned hunter who discovered her passion while on a guided deer hunt in New Zealand.

I raise Soay sheep here on my Missouri property. There is nothing sporting about shooting livestock and calling it a hunt. This person appears to be a pathological narcissist.

Not sure which goat is being referenced but the one she took in Turkey was a very old Bezoar Ibex.

There was no bloody sex toy visible, in fact there was no blood at all except the Ibex and a nice piece of ass. Big Grin

Silly narcissistic cow - an all-round embarrassment to anyone involved in hunting. She clearly has a serious problem with her ego - and other aspects of her personality.

I actually know a few of the guys in the photos and you can only feel for them - they have worked hard to build a business and a loyal client base - and I guarantee most of those will run a mile from this sort of publicity.

We met her last year at one of the shows. In fact, we had a lengthy conversation with her. I have to say that the way she came across to us is the polar opposite of the behavior described in the article. She was quite humble and did not seem to be seeking any attention at all. She made no outrageous statements nor did any of the videos clips she sent me contain anything that I thought was remotely close to questionable.

So my question is who saw the real Larysa? Are these articles accurate?

The story of how she got into hunting was extremely interesting. Most would be impressed by the story.

I am not sure what to think about this .

Most of us go hunting because we enjoy it.

Some of us have been hunting as far as we can remember as small boys - I honestly cannot remember not hunting, from my childhood with an air rifle.

My granddad had hunting falcons, and it was my job to shoot birds to feed them.

During school time, I used to take my 410 shotgun to school - left it behind the classroom door, with a box of ammo!

Imagine doing that today!!

Others have learnt to hunt later in their lives.

Still do it for their own enjoyment.

But, we also have rank idiots, whose sole purpose in hunting is to impress others!

SCI went even further, and made hunting in a bloody competition! Mad

My encounters with her have all been about her marketing herself for free hunts for @ this or # that. It totally lacks class. I know many “huntresses” do it, but just look to the Diana award to see the true huntresses.

I’ve never seen her show, nor have I heard of it outside of the Facebook. However, she sure has many sponsors (or had).

That does not surprise me at all. Helps her bottom line.

Her show used to come on here locally. I may have watched it once or twice. Can’t say if it was good or bad. Apparently no longer airs locally.

Yes. This is troubling. It’s ironic that it took a modern “huntress” to sink to this level. I have never seen a guy do anything like this. What does it say about how she perceives those who received this pic - that they would think it’s acceptable/funny?

Major hunt orgs should comment appropriately - no room for this under any tent.

I’ve said it 100 times: we share the pictures, THEY write the captions.

After lauds for hunting ethics, 'Michiganian of the Year' busted for illegal Alaska grizzly hunt
Author: Craig Medred clock Updated: July 7, 2016 calendar Published November 26, 2013

One of the "Michiganians of the Year" for 2013 has been ordered, along with her son, to pay more than $50,000 in fines and write a public letter of apology to Safari Club International, an organization that maintains records of trophy game, for getting a jump on the 2009 bear hunting season on Alaska's North Slope.

Sixty-six-year-old Charlotte Peyerk and 40-year-old son Mark Peyerk of Mio, Mich., so badly wanted to put a trophy grizzly in "the book" -- as big-game hunters call the register of records -- that they started the 2009 hunting season in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge a day early, according to federal prosecutors.

On Monday, Charlotte and Mark were sentenced in a Fairbanks court for crimes in connected to that hunt. Charlotte and her husband, Dan, enjoyed a better moment when they were recognized as outstanding citizens earlier this year by The Detroit News. The newspaper described them as "environmentalists from Glennie, Mich." They were commended for hosting disabled children at their lodge in the Great Lakes State.

According to Assistant U. S. Attorney Stephen Cooper in Fairbanks, Charlotte's behavior in Alaska was not so commendable. Cooper said in a press release that Charlotte, Mark and their assistant guides together agreed to kill a trophy grizzly the day before the hunting season opened, then try to make the shoot look legal by altering the date indicators on their cameras to indicate the bear was killed on opening day.

The assistant guides have not been identified, but they worked for Fair Chase Hunts, a business with its own problems. Seventy-six-year-old owner Joe Hendricks, one of Alaska's oldest living guides and once one of its most respected, in August of last year entered into a plea deal to get out from under 34 felony charges related to illegal hunting.

In exchange for a guilty plea to some of those charges, Hendricks got off with five years of probation and $125,000 in fines. At the time he was charged, Hendricks blamed most of his problems on "assistant guide stuff." But according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the clients taken on by Hendricks and partner Christopher Cassidy, who has also been convicted of illegal guiding activities, weren't all that law abiding either.

After shooting the grizzly a day before the season opened, creating phony photo records to indicate it was shot on opening day, and lying about the date of the kill on state bear-sealing records, Charlotte, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney, submitted the bear for Safari Club records recognition and later won the organization's Diana Award for "ethics in hunting."

Charlotte and Dan are both active members of Safari Club. The Diana Award is "named for the huntress of Roman mythology. It recognizes the women of SCI who have excelled in international big game hunting. Nominees will have shown exemplary ethics in the field, remained committed to the mission statement of SCI, and have personally given of their time and energies to enhance wildlife conservation and education."

The club describes Charlotte as someone "raised on a small dairy farm in Michigan....(where) she developed a love and respect for the outdoors and the animals that call it home." She later married Dan, and he started "a heavy construction business from scratch, and this company is now one of the nation's largest heavy/highway contractors," according to the club. "Charlotte assumed an 'if you can't beat him, join him' philosophy and became Dan's hunting partner in 1998. Big game pursuits in all corners of the globe soon became her passion, and her list of accomplishments is truly impressive. Charlotte's hunts include 26 countries and five continents. To date, she has taken 174 animals of which 149 are registered with SCI, and she has taken 17 sheep in five years.

"Charlotte recognizes there is more to hunting than taking an animal and how it ranks in the record book. Her first trip into the Alaskan wilderness is one of her more enjoyable hunts, and no trophy was taken."

Later hunts were more successful, according to federal prosecutors. U.S. District Court magistrate Scott Oravec was apparently offended by the lengths to which the Peyerks went to cover up their poaching. "In imposing sentence, (he) commented that besides the illegal taking of wildlife, the more aggravated criminal conduct was the defendants' multiple written false statements to cover up the illegal kill," the government's press release said.

Oravec ordered Charlotte to offer to give back the Diana Award and write the letter of apology, then sentenced both Peyerks to pay $20,000 in fines. Charlotte was additionally ordered to make $10,000 in community service payments to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Mark was ordered to pay it $5,000. Their rifles were forfeited. So, too, was the trophy grizzly.

Mark will be on probation for five years, during which time he is prohibited from hunting. Charlotte was given four years probation with the same prohibition.

I often miss thing so look over me, but was her show Unleashed dropped off the Outdoor Channel years ago.

I am not being sexist in this, but I caught a couple of episodes when it was on the Outdoor Channel. She acted like a highschooler then, and I said no thank you.

Hunting is serious. Life is being taken. It is being taken to provide habitat, control carrying capacity, local herd health, and food. The game we kill should be honored for that sacrifice. Hunting is not a party frat or sorority.

The responsibility of hunting and killing is suppose to teach maturity, humility, and respect to those who engage. My father said, “Hunting is playing God, and learning you are not.”

Did she move to YouTube?

If so, that means her “style”of hunting is more visible than if confined to the Outdoor Channel/Sportsmen bc you pay extra for that package. More eyes to see, more harm done.

I was thinking about this today. Why have these shoes largely deteriorated.

I was home and cooking had the tv on hunting. Two shots back to back all bow git shots shot at long for bow distances.

The hosts showed no contrition for the bad shooting. Everyone can mess up, but every mess up is a teachable moment. There was no teaching. There was no, “ I pushed the envelope and was wrong. Please, do better than I.”

The shots were passed off as just a little bit back with big smiles. After weighting 18 hours to follow up. A young hunter or novice or non hunting family member viewing this would think these events were normal.

It is not normal. It is what happens when things go wrong.

Again, my fault is not so much the poor shot placement. We can all mess up. We can all try a shot just a little too far. It is the lack of contrition and teaching from the mistake. I am upset about the “all is well, nothing wrong here” presentation that I am upset about. That and I do not think anyone who took those shots were self aware to do better in the future.

Larry,

I met her at Javier's during DSC. She did think she was something special. She wanted to hunt with us in Argentina for free because she could bring so much business. That was not necessary. She now works for a booking agency that also has a tag line like the one about Jeff Blair.

I may have taken some off color trophy shots when I was younger (blood, tongue, the effect of a .375 on a hog skull, all stupid stuff), but never published or shared.

The reference to that being a sex you, I don’t know. It looks more like a torture device.

Enough said.

I can see why she may have acted differently with us. To make a long story short, she wanted to book hunts for me.

She would not be the first or the last hunting personality looking for a free hunt.
