Well, this will probably get some interesting responses. In all honesty, I am not interested in your justifications one way or another concerning the WHY of your hunt. I am very interested to know the WHERE and WHAT you plan on hunting.
For practical purposes - I suppose the choices come down to about these: (at the moment)
1. Zimbabwe
2. South Africa
3. Namibia
4. Mozambique
5. Tanzania

Answer sort of like this please:
Zimbabwe (Tuskless) -OR-
Zimbabwe (Trophy.....and pray for the ban
to be lifted), or make replicas. -OR-
Namibia (own use), -OR- Namibia (Trophy)
-OR- Mozambique (and forget the Ivory)

WHATEVER......Just interested in your plans.

Zim. I don't care if the ban is in place. I will get replicas if they are big tusks.

Sorry they screw up your trip Brennen.

I have an elephant on license in Tanzania in November. I am not sure what I will do if I see a really big one, but its on license. The huge trophy fees with the questionable import make me somewhat ambivalent about shooting if I see one.

I had planned on going back to Zim to hunt Bull Elephant again, probably 3-4 years down the road.

In my backyard if one escapes from Disney's animal kingdom or the circus. Otherwise I plan to stay as far from them as possible.

Damn elephants - tracks showed up at Kanana in Botswana last week. That is a good 300 miles from the delta and is fenced (not that it matters to elephants).

I will let you braver men (and women) than me hunt them.

I may make some replica tusk cause they look cool.

why not? after all, you are already there so no additional plane fare. possibly add a few days and it would still be a LOT cheaper than going back- although i am pretty sure you will anyway, once the Africa bug bites you beer

This is going to be my 11th consecutive year hunting in Tanzania.

Have not had a chance at an elephant so far, despite the fact we looked for them.

In fact, I have not seen a single shootable bull in Tanzania in the past ten years!!
