Rich-Booking Hunts at SCI or DSC?
I've decided it's time to book the buff hunt that I've wanted to do for a few years now that I have a job where I'm free(r) during the summer months.
I'm leaning towards a buff hunt in Zim and CM Safaris is one of the top outfits on my shortlist in addition to speaking with a few others currently.
Is there any benefit of booking hunts at the SCI or DSC shows or am I just as well off booking online with whichever outfit I end up going with?

MARK H. YOUNGRich-
The sooner you book your hunt the more available dates and quota there will be. If your thinking '19 I'd seriously consider booking before the show. Do go though to meet who you'll hunt with. It's nice to have that connection in place before the hunt.

Tim FerrallRich,
+1 on using CM Safaris for your buff hunt, but you better be in shape to walk them up if you hunt Dande North.

crbutlerThe only advantage to doing it at the shows is to both avoid wire transfer fees and being able to look the folks in the eye while asking questions.
While I’ve gotten discounts at the shows, I probably would have gotten them anyhow.
If you have decided on outfit and time, the sooner you book the more likely you are to get your requirements met.

30.06kingHaving hunted with CMS they will likely allow, and even recommend, initially "pencilling" in hunt dates if you have a timeframe in mind. Talk to CMS but you may not even have to immediately put a deposit down if you are a fair way out from the proposed hunt dates. They will advise when a deposit would be needed to secure those dates. Meanwhile you are at liberty to explore other options to see if some alternative doesn't better suit your wishes. Eventually if you decided to book elsewhere your pencilled in booking is easily removed.
However, after saying the above I don't think at all you would go wrong to book with CMS. My only two Buff hunts were both with CMS to whom I give my heartiest endoresment. They are first rate outfitters dedicated to providing clients with an exceptional hunt.

Yep, very well said. And accurate.

What Bill C says....
CM is an excellent outfit as are several others in Zim. An agent can help get you through this is you need help.
