Nice thick tusks. For those who don't know, Pete is on the left and Ron Oliver is on the right. Ron posts here. _______________________________

Tusks both broken off or worn heavily at the tips. Was this an ambi-tusk-strous elephant? Satisfactory asymmetry should qualify for the "Outer Circle Award" quite nicely. Should rank quite high in Pope and Young too.

Congrats. As a youngster, when I was an obsessive archer and bowhunter, Pete Shepley was one of the folks in the industry I admired. In fact, when I was in 11th grade and working at the local archery store, I shot an arrow out of a PSE Mach 5 bow - the first heavily marketed commercial overdraw bow (radical overdraw), which broke and went right though my left hand. I still have a couple of nice scars to prove it.

That photo looks like it was taken at the pool at Senuko. Anyone know where the elephant was taken?
