I might have a chance to go to the DSC show, but only be there for one night on Jan 12, 2008. Look to fly into DFW airport early, early on 12th, attend show on 12th and part of 13th and fly out mid afternoon on 13th. Short visit, but hey better than nothing!.
Question is, whats a good hotel to stay at, close to DFW airport, or closer to Market hall. Either way I will take taxis around and whats the best bet. Opinions please!

Lots of folks from AR will be staying at the Comfort Inn, not too far from Market Hall. I'm sure someone with all the particulars will respond.

Congrats on making it to the show. Stop by the Concierge desk and say 'hi'.

I have never had to stay at a hotel for the DSC as I live in Ft. Worth, but my advice would be to stay as close to the convention as you can. The airport is not that close and taxis in Dallas can be a pain The hotels listed above are within walking distance of the show. I hope to run into you at some of the AR events

I am staying at the Comfort Inn. Made reservations about a week ago. Just how far is it from the Hilton and the exhibits. This is my first time at DSC and have not spent time in Dallas. Just a country boy.

Driftwood,

The hotel is about 3.5 miles away from Market Center where the convention is and the Hilton is across the street from the Market Center...
You will meet Frank Beller and his wife, Joyce they did alot of driving us back and forth... Great AR members and friends...

The Fairmont is a grand old hotel in downtown Dallas; don't know about the Plaza. That one might one of the old 'boutique' hotels down by Union Station.

I'm looking forward to seeing all you 'ol timers' and to meeting you who are here for the first time. Look me up at the Concierge desk. Just ask for Dennis.
