Ladies and Gentlemen,

As a consideration to our members who are still on dial-up connections, I am going to split our hunt report into smaller parts.

Part One

Part Two

Part Three

Part Four

Part Five

Close up of the buffalo heads

Once I have completed the report, I will add all the parts together, and post them on our Hunting page.

Thanks Saeed. It's almost like the Saga continues.

Wonderful photos, thanks very much Saeed!

I was meaning to ask, what happened with the DVD thread? My offer stands: It would be my honour to run a list for all European AR members! I have the facility to copy DVD's and quite some experience with it, too... Roll Eyes Cool

Cheers,

elwood.

Saeed,

Thank you for posting the photos of another of your wonderful hunts. I am amazed when I look back at my safari photos how much I seem to have aged the past few years and you seem to be following suit. Maybe it is having daughters that is doing it to us...or perhaps tolerating Walter is your excuse. I wish you many more years of great hunts and maybe we will both be posting photos in the years to come in which we appear as old and worn out as Ray. Big Grin

We used two custom built rifles, both on Dakota 76 actions. One has a Shilen barrel and McMillan stock, and one has a Lilja barrel and an MPI stock. Both have Leupold 2.5-8X scopes, in Dakota mounts.

They are chambered for our own 375/404, and we used our own lathe turned HP copper bullets.

These rifles have been used extensively by several hunters on several African safaris. And it seems each person that uses one falls in love with it!

The rifles and bullets performed very well. But we need to make bullets that can maintain their straight flight as they shoot through twigs.

Saeed, I am getting number two again instead of number 4.

I can't figure out which buff skull Walter is leaning on in the skull photo. About three of the bulls look that good before they were boiled!

Saeed,
The photos are fantastic as usual.

But I have just one question - what sorts of zebra are these? They have no shadow lines and I guess that means they are not Burchell's but are they mountain zebras?
