So another one bites the dust.

I remember when Saeed and Mike McGuire tried to destroy HuntAmerica years ago. Came pretty close, eh Saeed? They didn't like the censorship or the fact that guys got banned.

When Saeed started this place he promised never to ban anybody and let everyone speak their piece in the proper forum.

Boy, a lot has changed since then. rotflmo

Oh, and you won't hear from Lion Hunter. His eyes are Brown. Smiler

We do not take banning anyone lightly.
When AR started we had a few members who were real gentlemen. There was no question of any of them going out of their way to be obnoxious to their fellow members.

And before I ban anyone, I always have a word with them in private. My decision is then based on what answers I get.

Now we have over 34,000 members, every now and then we seem to attract an indvidual who thinks only HIS opinion counts, and no matter how we try to talk to them privately, they still persists.

Then the point comes whether I keep AR as I see it, or leave it to that individual to turn it into HIS platform.

As happened in the past, we have had an individual who got banned, who went and set up his own website.

He is at liberty to run it precisely as he sees fit.

I think that did not last very long, and that site has died.

I do visit other hunting and shooting websites, and I think we tend to be a bit more tolerant on AR than most of them.

Ultimately, each of us has a choice, both as administrators or members of AR.

As administrators we try to keep some sort of decency and respect amongst our members.

Members have a choice to abide by our rules, or go and participate on other forums which are more to their liking.

It is called freedom of choice.

When I have something I believe worthwhile to contribute, then you will hear from me. Not much intimidates me and this is a dead issue for me. I will not miss the recently departed and all his buds can cry their eyes out and grind their teeth to their hearts content.

Oh, and I owe explanations and answers to no one on this board other than Saeed. If he ever thinks something I claim is false he can ask me for confirmation and I will gladly provide it to him.

I also congratulate Saeed for trying to maintain some sort of balance on AR.

Lionhunter is a legit dude. I have figured out who he is. I will not out him. But there is only one person who this could be, and through a process of elimination I have figured his identity out. I can understand his reasoning why he chooses to keep semi-anonymous, but you may recall one of his earlier posts made reference to the possibility that one could figure out who he is by what he writes.

Thank you Saeed. I believe that your "mission" statement, as posted on the opening page of AR (Welcome To Accurate Reloading) really says it all, as to what this website is all about and why it was started. If everyone would RE-READ IT
it might put everything back into perspective.

Not to burst your bubble but Craig became a member here in July 2003 and Andy became a member in Oct 2005. So Craig was here before Andy.

I don't have a bubble to burst, I realize Andy and I are, were about as popular as a turd in a punchbowl, I just see things differently than most of you do. Personally I have no axe to grind with CB, DF or any of those guys. Just the lynching mentality. I would bet money even CB or DF would disagree with the banning.

Whether we agree with Saeed banning any individual is neither here not there. This is Saeed's domain and he has the privlige of banning anyone he wants. If any of us don't like it, we are free to not come here.

Saeed,

Great explanation. This is a great forum and thousands of us really enjoy it. Thank you. All you ask is:

Welcome to the AccurateReloading.com forums. They are free, all we ask in return is you obey our three suggestions. We ask you be civil to your fellow members, refrain from posting pictures not related to hunting and shooting and do not spam our board. Thanks and enjoy. Saeed and Don

It's not too much for a host to ask that his guests behave as gentlemen or gentlepeople. If they do not, it is the host's absolute right to ask them to leave. At the risk of overstepping my bounds, if you have a fault, it is over-tolerance.

Welcome Craig, you are awesome, I love your writing and your videos are the best. I have learned more than I can tell you from your articles and films. I feel so fortunate to be a part of a forum with hunters as experienced as you and Saeed.

I cant speak for anyone else only myself. I see an individual who takes pleasure in turning differences of opinion into personal attacks. I have said it before on AR and say it again. There is no reason fo name calling and no reason not to be civil. We can argue our positions all we want without digressing to such a low level. I have disagreed with Saeed on occasion and also Shakari. I respect both of them and their right to disagree with me. At no time in our arguments did we ever resort to this type of thing. To use a term from the past, it is just poor form. That said, an individual like Adrook contributes nothing but malice and spite. He overstepped the bounds when not only did he digress to the lowest level but tried to make it personal. He wasnt smart enough to realize he had really stepped in it when he pulled the same stunt on our host. Even when I am pushing the limits I know not only what is innapropriate but when to back off. I know when I am over the line but obviously he didnt. If someone finds this type of behaviour entertaining all I can say is go watch Jerry Springer. I at first thought he had apologized to Craig but rereading this thread see he did not. Nor did he apologize to anyone else for his behavior. It takes a lot to get banned from here. No other site I visit would tolerate this type of behaviour at all let alone for as long as it went on here.
Missed? I think not.

No tears from here concerning Adcrook, glad things turned out like they did. Maybe some others should take the hint? We all have our opinions and they don't always match, but most here know the difference between differences and slander.

Mr. Boddington, I commend you on your response, and the quick reaction of your daughter in such a tight situation. I would be happy to have her watch my back on a hunt anytime. I hope she get's over the stress of such an event quickly, and that Punki recoups completely.
I for one DO like your writing and have most your books and a few CDs. Great stuff.

Anyone who has been around here for awhile knows it's damned near impossible to get banned from AR, even when much of what is said here would get you banned in a heartbeat anywhere else. Hell, publicly disagreeing or questioning some folks on other sites and the axe drops. Not here. A few basic rules of decorum are all that's really expected here, and even when broken a couple times by members (my hand's up), usually a quick note asking the offender to stop being an asshole is enough.

I guess some folks posing as adults feel compelled to test the bounds, just because. Most of us had parents who warned us about not doing stuff like touching hot radiators--for good reason. But then, some kids had to go and get their hands burned anyway, before figuring it out. It's not complicated.

Oh, and then there's the 'don't get into a pissing match with Saeed, especially after being asked politely to lay off' unsaid rule... Smiler

Saeed is a very, very tolerant and generous host, and always has been. To get yourself booted, well, as said, you really have to want to. So be it.

If you will note carefully I never tried to justify being an asshole because of a "defenseless child with handicaps", and sure as hell I never attacked such a child in word or deed.

As for my place in Hell, that reservation was made long ago.

And if Saeed decides this place would be better off without me he doesn't have to kick me out, merely letting me know he thinks I should leave will suffice.
