In addition to sending letters, please take less than a minute to sign this petition opposing the airline ban on the transport of trophies.

Thanks.

Already I was beginning to fall into the African way of thinking: That if
you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on
the animal's terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the
day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely
killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed
because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always
recapture the day - Robert Ruark

Done, but did not donate. Do they still count one's signature anyway?

Yes. The donation request is not from HSC but from the website that hosts petitions.

Thanks to everyone that has signed the petition. And bonus points to the many that have commented too. If you have not already, please take the time to do so. tu2

This effort highlights a couple of the major challenges we face as hunters. The petition request was sent to all the HSC members, posted on line, forwarded to friends and others and we have under 300 signatures. Problem one, there is just a significant segment of the hunting community that appears to be largely inert. One would hope that HSC could support and get the word out on SCI's efforts to generate letters to the airlines, that SCI could support and get the word out on HSC's petition drive, that DSC could publicly support both, etc. Problem two, the hunting organizations all seem to want to operate within their own little fiefdoms rather than share turf or concede publicity to another group. Not surprising I guess, but it just makes all the efforts of each less effective than they might be otherwise. thumbdown

I am disappointed in the lack of support for this petition as well as the SCI direct letter from on the other thread.

Come on Gentlemen
