Rather poor form to come onto another man's website to poach his members.

I'll stay with the best, thank you. However, I did look at the forum and did some quick math. Your total posts and threads is what AR gets in 14 to 16 seconds. I agree with Kim.

If you think AR is over moderated, it's not.

What Saeed let's people get away with on here
even amazes me.

Hero worship ????

As I said, it's poor form to poach members from another website; on the other hand, it's cowardly to do so while hiding behind the guise of a recently acquired username. Don't be gutless: Who are you and what are the names of your cohorts? That shouldn't be difficult, unless of course you're hedging your bets.

By the way, Saeed's was an extraordinarily gentleman-like response to someone who falls far short of that standard.

Saeed,

Exactly, let's flood the world with hunting and shooting sites, it's good for us. Thank you for the support. I don't want to diminish Accurate Reloading at all. I'll admit my approach sucked but my motivations are pure. Let' all look out for the good of the sport. Thanks for not banning me.

Zombiekiller:

First, kindly refrain from sending me anymore PMs with your spittle-flecked, sophomoric, and highly unimaginative insults. I won't be reading them.

I have to wonder, if you can't handle being called out in this thread for your ill-mannored, bush-league play for AR's members, how are you going to manage hundreds of independently-minded, highly opinionated, often ill-tempered, and sometimes combative users on your website? (Well, dozens of members, at least ...)

By the way, interesting how your chief complaint against AR is what you call "heavy handed moderation", yet on your fledgling website you say, "I promise you our friendly members will not use you as a verbal piñata or such as happens on other forums. Abuse and rudeness is dealt with swiftly here."

Hmmm, so you're looking to substitute imagined 'heavy handed moderation' with 'dictatorial moderation'? Somehow that bankruptcy of logic fits hand-in-glove with your presumption that it was appropriate to post your appeal for members on a competitor's website. In case you're too obtuse to see the irony, if 'abuse and rudeness' were dealt with swiftly on AR, Saeed would have banned you before you read this post.

Oh, have you decided to come out from hiding behind the skirt of your nom d'plume, or should we all begin the guessing game of who you are?

ZombieKiller,

Please stop spamming the rest of the forums.

You have posted this same information on several forums, which I have removed.

We take it for granted that members on AR are adults who share the same interests.

No one is obliged to be a member of AR and post on it.

We hope people do belong to AR because they wish to participate with like minded people from all over the world.

Also, AR is the only website that I am aware of that has no adverts.

Where advertiser can dictate some of the policies of the site.

Our terms of service are very simple.

All we ask for is that members treat each other with respect, and no spamming.

Were you a member on AR before?
Do you mind letting us know who we are supporting and what your site is all about.

I would like to suggest that you upgrade to a higher spec Forum and host it yourself. The free forums dont function well and you are going to loose all your posts at some point and wont be able to retrieve them.

php BB is a good starting point. Or you can pay for it like Saeed does and use Eve or similar forums.

What is your main purpose for the forum, is it an advertorial based funding machine or do you have a plan etc. Are you going to make a business out of it like Pat at Bowsite, or maybe build it into an online resource. If that is the plan, speak to Shakari for an idea of what it takes to do that.

I also suggest you speak to Jerome at Africahunting.com takes a lot of work to build something that is worth using. Most people who are going to spend more than 30 seconds writing something of value dont want to do it on a site that will become redundant the minute you loose interest etc.

Good luck in your venture, I think more hunting based media is great, however support will only be forthcoming once we know what your objectives with the site are.

Good luck
Ian

Dear Saeed,
You sir are a fine gentleman.
I also consider "the more the better" a good thing and It matters not how many hunting forums I visit, I will always start here.
Thanks mate.

Sadly with comments like this "
Why? This place has run its course, it's on life support thanks to the heavy handed moderation and hero worship of the benevolent host." can't say the same for the other.

To come on this forum, make an anonymous post seeking to market another forum, then seek to deride AR, that is classless and tasteless, no other way to describe it. On top of that, the poster then goes back and seeks to delete old posts that thankfully others have already captured through quotes. Those sorts of shenanigans would not be associated with someone promoting a legitimate website, at least any legitimate website I would want to participate on. We have seen some pretty infantile marketing efforts of late, this has certainly got to rank right up there. I think I will stick with AR thank you.

Zombiekiller, based solely on your classless, ridiculous comments that are quoted above; I won't waste my time even looking at your site. Regardless of your self serving opinion, many of us regard AR as the finest website of its kind in the world, and will continue to support the one and only website that sets a standard for all others in the world of hunting.

I took a quick look at it. Nothing to get excited over.

Besides I must stay on AR as I have a goal to accomplish: to go on a 2x1 hunt with Saeed with my friend Mark Sullivan as our PH!

I think the new forum would have a better chance for success without the brash and rude introduction by the gent with a crass teen-age moniker of Zombie Killer.
